I love mine and I was able to try both in store. While the Nexus 7 was a tad faster it did not feel as solid. The difference in screen was negligible its there but only if u have both units side to side. I think the final deal breaker for me on the nexus was the usable storage on the device. When the Nexus is advertised as a 16 gig device 4-6gigs of that is taken up by the OS and pre installed apps. Really that 16gigs is only 10-12gigs. Thats just not that much fi you wanna use the device for media.

The Galaxy tab is 8gigs and 3-4gigs of its hard drive are taken up by the os also. The difference is that you can add up to a 32gig memory card (I am currently rocking a 64gig formatted it in PC popped it in good to go so far no issues).

Nexus 7 wasn't even a consideration of mine. For that matter, neither was this bundle but it was just TOO good to pass up. I've been on it like I've never owned a tablet in my life....maybe that's just because it's new.

Coming with accessories made this an epic win. I put a 32 gig sd card in and already have music/movies on it....for those times "the cloud" is not an option.

I wasn't impressed by the Nexus simply due to it's lack of expandable storage. I'm not all that geeked about this tab not having JB....it'll come when it comes and if it takes too long the good folks over at XDA will have it ready to rock!

Tab 2 is my first tablet and I was looking at the Nexus 7. But after reading all the issues, screen coming out, screen cracking, etc. and the Nexus 7 not having a SD slot was the main reason for me going with the Tab 2 and the me getting the bundle was even better!!

Every time I read someone got the bunble I smile. I think cause this is the 1st time I've ever been able to jump on something like this w/O having already had a device and it's too late to return it.

Im considering either a galaxy tab 2 7.0 or nexus 7.0. How does everyone like there galaxy so far. There is pretty good deal going on now on the galaxy comes with a key board dock and a couple of accessories.239.00 is the price
I have the galaxy tab 2 7.0 student edition and just love it and the acessories that came with it.
I have another tablet, remain nameless, and i consider this one a trade up. I love the Android system much better than the other.

GT2 is my first tablet, and your experience and decision-making process mirrors my own. Sadly, I got mine a few weeks before the bundle was announced, and I'd already invested in a Logitech Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. :(

Most places offer 30 return and you don't have to say it was defective..... Just you found a better deal. I'd keep the mouse and return everything else.

I've been happily listening to my music stored in the cloud while reading these forums. Only time I've put it down was to charge and even then was still using it since it charges when docked and plugged in.

Eh, I like the Logitech board--especially the case that converts to a stand. Just a little bummed about missing out on a deal.

I tend to use my Bionic for music as well. I mostly use my Tab for gaming, Google Reader, Netflix, and word processing via QuickOffice Pro.

As for browsers, I was a big fan of Opera Mobile for the longest time. I wasn't sold on Chrome because it's a buggy app that crashes whenever I try to access the Settings. However, a fellow user on either this forum or Android Central told me another way to access the browser settings.

Now, I use Chrome for almost everything because all my bookmarks are in sync between my tablet and desktop computer.

I love Chrome myself and really would like to use it but flash doesn't work on it. It crashes when I go into setting on the Tab too.

I bought the Nexus 7 for me and the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 for my wife. I'm a techie she's not. I'm rooted, ROM'd and custom recovery, she will be completely stock.

Just two different levels of use from two types of users. The dock was the reason I went Sammy on hers. She's has no need for 4 core CPU and all the root stuff. But she uses it for business email and the dock will help with that.
