Root Usb otg

I thought 3.0.x and up supported it. Do you have a "on the go" usb wire that you have tried, with the phone? Same goes for hid support too. I thought, anything honeycomb and up supports that as well. Not unless, it has to be turned on like some other devices.

This video is in another language, but they have it running on a 3D, so I would assume the same goes for our phone.

Here is a "how to" on making a otg usb cable.

All research I have done points to only hardware V1 having support for it. You still need a kernel with support (Anthrax does I think), and a rom that supports it (no current ones that I know of). Worse, all of our phones are Hardware V2.

I have an OTG cable, but I have yet to get it to work (I haven't put a lot of effort in yet).

I think I saw some posts on anthrax forums that someone got it working on hardware v2.

I'm on hw0002 and it is working. Needs to have a powered usb hub or in my case I made a y cable and powered it with the phone charger

What kernel are you using? and rom? Mind snapping a shot of the cable you made? I would like to connect to my tv but sense the micro usb doubles as the hdmi I am not sure how to go about this.

Using CM9 DT0.7.4 Anthrax kernal 3.2
In /system/ect/vold.fstab you will need to add

dev_mount usb /mnt/sdcard/usb auto /devices/platform/msm_hsusb_host.0/usb1

and add usb folder to /mnt/sdcard

For the power side of the cable do not connect the shielding green and white wires it interferes with usb connection technically you only need the red and black wires for the power supply.
