Root Bootloop problem!

Hi guys,
I need help..... I was having some issues with my phone so I made a nand backup and then did a factory reset from cwm and then restored data and now my phone keeps bootlooping at the boost logo or at least that's what I think it's doing becuz it just sits there at the logo indefinitely with no animation! Could someone please tell me what happened or what can I do to fix it without having to mess up any of my current settings and setup?! I am running Half-Ass Rom with KoumaKernal 1.0 and DT's A2sd and everything was working until I tried to fix the issues mentioned above.....And the issues I was having was every time I would reboot my phone it will seem like it's finished loading and then it will all of a sudden vibrate a few times and restart itself back to the main menu and reload all over again and it will keep doing that over and over again several times until it finally stops....but this last time it would not stop so that's when I tried the factory reset and data restore and now this bootloop crap! Please let me know how to fix this without having to start over... and also if someone has an explanation for that restarting\reloading issue that would be awesome too! Thanks in advance.....
Signed, Clusterf****d......lol

Oh ok......That sux becuz I had a lot of stuff on this phone.....apps,settings + other stuff! It's gonna kill me to have to do that and start all over....damn! Also can you explain that odd restarting/reloading issue that I was experiencing which I described in my op? Could that have been a launcher issue or sd card issue possibly? Just wondering in case it happens again so I will know how to correct it safely next time. Any input is always appreciated. Thanks.

Not too sure what is causing the bootlooping, but I know that after you install Half Ass Rom, set up your phone the way you want it, Create a nandroid backup, and copy it to your PC. That way if you ever have any issues. You hav a fresh install of your setup, waiting for you...

I would bet the issue is related to using kouma kernel and dta2sd... The point of kouma mod is to eliminate the need for dark tremors... Dark tremors works by creating symbolic links in the app folder linking it to the sdext.
Kouma kernel works by actually mounting the sdext AS the app folder. (by way of the koumamod app) if you set up koumamod, then installed dta2sd, there is likely a conflict between the two causing the instability.

Or you just have your overclock settings turned up to far ;)

Thank you for that answer. I honestly did not know.

Yes thank you guys! But I never did mess with overclocking becuz I was afraid I might burn the phone up even tho I am curious to see results lol... and actually when I flashed Half-Ass Rom I flashed KK1.0 with a2sd instead of keeping 2.5 becuz I knew 1.0 was compatible with a2sd which it runs fine until I have to reboot the phone for any reason....and the reason I did that is becuz I was already accustomed to using a2sd and I didn't really know how KK2.5 worked with the script already written in. I guess I got cold feet lol...but if you guys are saying it's easier with 2.5 then maybe I'll try it. Are there any adjustments I have to make to it after it boots up or it just starts working automatically since I already have an extension installed? Thanks

OP says koumakernel 1.0

that was the last one before a2sd was built in.

also, i believe, before it became overclockable.

the other thing from OP is that you factory reset and then restored /data. that will have the same effect as doing nothing at all. well, it wipes the cache.

Damn my not reading thoroughly... :(
You're obviously correct with all three observations... *facepalm*

people need to make backups regularly. i do 1 a week because of changes i make and sometimes 1 or 4 a day if making alot of changes. if something bad happens can alway revert back to a backup and then fix or adjust what you did to get it right. 90% of the time a backup will get you out of a jam unless bricked or something else bad.

So all I'm asking now I guess is how do I get KK2.5 to work once installed for my apps? Do I do nothing becuz the kernel does it automatically? Or do I have to set it up somehow? Just making sure so I'll know what I'm dealing with. :) If I missed something in one of the threads I apologize. Thanks

So I basically screwed up when I wiped data esp with sd card still in the phone(hence I should have removed sd card before I did a data wipe)and then restored data only?

these steps you have taken will wipe the data and then restore that exact data back. nothing accomplished.

you should wipe data then restore sd-ext only and reinstall a2sd to restore just your apps and see how that works. settings would have to be reset manually. if the same problem comes back then you have a misbehaving app and you should wipe again and install them one at a time until the conflict shows its ugly face.
