So even IF the screen wasn't as advertised (It is. I'm too lazy to link to the post I read, but it uses some kind of different way to process the image making it seem the lower res. Like i said, too lazy)

Is there anyone here that would have had 2nd thoughts about their n1? I mean is it REALLY a just horrifying thing that the screen res is better than most phones on the market still?

EDIT: Title fail. I meant to change it but I got all spaced out. If an admin wants they can change it to...whatever makes sense. Some thing like "Right...is the so called "low Res" Screen a big deal to anyone".... or be creative ;)

I'm thinking about getting an HTC Incredible instead, but not just because of any "resolution" issues, but a combination of issues. Now only if we knew more about the HTC Incredible and whether it exhibits any of the same issues as the Nexus One it would make whether getting an HTC Incredible a done deal or whether to pick up the first one out on the market.

As far as I can tell from casual forum cruising, most of the issues offered up as show stoppers come from people who do not own the phone. In many cases they have not even held it. Its just a phone. Best of breed for now, but just a tool (more like a laptop replacement actually). Wait 6 months and there will be a "better" phone. I chose not to wait.

That said this phone is crazy cool. :D

lol good honesty
i've seen a nexus one, iphone 3gs, moto droid, droid eris all lined up next to each other and i would rank the nexus as number one but that's just one guy's opinion

I think that story broke on BGR. He is a certified iPhone fan boy. Anything that even remotely challenges the iPhone he goes on the offensive against.
I think we can all agree that it doesn't matter where the story "broke" so as long as it is a fact.
It's not a problem, it just works differently to the way people would normally think.

It's only a problem to all the sheep who read it as such and then decide in their own minds that something is wrong or they've been cheated in some way.
You mean informed customers who do their research before picking up a ~$500 phone? Right... "sheep."

I read a few people yesterday that were OUTRAGED BY SUCH TERRIBLE PICTURE QUALITY!. The only phone i know with better off the top of my head is the HD2 maybe? (I am trying to pick one up off of craiglist to play with. It's the only nice winmo phone and I'd love to play with it a little bit :p)

That being said he really is a ifanboy. I cannot wait until android 3.0 drops. By then the gaming market will probably be better after the apps on SD are standard and the community has grown ;)
