Root Saving battery

how can i use set cpu to save battery life? and is there any other apps to extend battery life

You could create profiles in setcpu. Some i made is that i chose to set the governor to powersave which changes the mhz to the lowest speed possible when my phone screen is off. Also when i'm in a call i also set it to powersave and so on

OK here's how you create a profile

  1. Scroll to the profiles tab and choose the plus that's in a circle in the top right corner,
  2. Next you're gonna see Turn this profile on when... +. Choose that plus again and a screen will pop up saying "App Condition". This means the profile will activate when this specific condition is active so we're gonna choose Screen On/Off.
  3. The next pop off you see dont' change anything just click save. Now you're gonna want to click next and here's where you set what happens when that app condition is active. So I'm gonna assume you wanna use little power when the screen is off so set the minimum cpu speed to 196mhz and leave the max as is. Set the cpu governor as powersave and just click next.
  4. Now this is the last screen where you name your profile and set the priority. If there's a condition where two or more profiles are active then the one with the highest priority will turn on. So just leave as 50 since you can change it later if you want and click next and there you go!
