first and foremost, while id like to take credit for scotts roms,i cannot. he is scott scrossler,im just scotty85.aliasqa said:Hi Scott,
I've been following you work at ScottsRoms, Phandroid and XDA Developers.
I purchased the rezound last December after a short love affair with the Galaxy Nexus. That device had many issues poor sound and dropped data.
I went with the rezound because HTC and Verizon promised Android 4.0 in short order. Long story short the delays in roll out made me very frustrated.
I kept tabs on your ScottsRom website for a Clear Rom based on the final release version of Android 4.0. I guess the delays caused by HTC or Verizion with releasing the final version of Android 4.0 caused you to lose interest in any further development of any Clear Rom baised on 3.14.605.12.
I decided to download and install 3.14.605.10 by installing it in a zip file on the removable storage and flashing using the power button and volume control.
After reading many of the post I'm not sure whether that was the right approach.
I would like to place a rom either the OTA 314.605.12 or another that is stable and is rooted as I need the wifi tether.
I take a lot of photos with my phone so the photo application is important. Also I'm all about removing the Verizon Bloatware.
I'm currently running 3.14.605.10 710RD
Kernel version
3.0.16-gd0049f1
htc-kernal@u18000-build-144 #1
SMP PREEMPT
Build number 3.14.605.10 CL372320 release-keys
I know your busy and I really do appreciate your help.
Thanks Aliasqa (rob)
as for your other questions, ive moved this to the forum so that the others can share their rom experiences with you. .10 is not the newest leak, there was .3.14.605.12,and then the "world phone" update to 4.03.605.1.
there are stock rooted versions for both from various folks on xda. the world phone rom should work with your current firmware, except for the actual world phone part, wich supposedly requires the new radio to go with it.
if you wish to get all the way up to the world phone rom and firmware, the process can differ slightly if youre s-on or s-off.
