Hey all, I see that there are 12 people listed - is the league full? If someone ends up ducking out, I wouldn't mind joining. I play fantasy baseball every year, but I don't know nearly as much about NFL players, so I'm relatively noobish, but I'd like to give it a shot. I'd definitely be attentive and active, and I'd be down with anteing up money as well. I figure I'd prefer joining a league with some fun AF people over some random league with a bunch of nobodies. :)

Alright so it sounds like Sunday is the winning day overwhelmingly.

I can probably do either Sunday, but the 26th we have a family event to attend, so if it's the afternoon I'll probably miss out (which is fine, I don't mind especially if that allows the most people to join the draft).

Alright, I've reset the draft for Sunday August 26th at 2pm EST. Hoepfully as many people as possible can make it - let's have some fun!

As of right now I should be able to be there, I'll be on graveyard shift so I'll sleep a couple hours and then get up and draft, then go back to bed... That is FF commitment!

I'll have my auto draft players set up ahead of time just in case :)

Really? 2pm on a Sunday in the middle of the summer?

Well the first Sunday had the most votes, and afternoon had the most votes. I'm just playing to the majority.

EDIT - looks like another vote was added after I set up the draft, so both Sundays have 5 votes. Afternoon was still more popular than evening 6 - 5.

I really don't care myself, I'm just trying to ensure the more people are able to make the draft, not inconvenience anyone.

Well... it's not actually the middle of summer. We are 2/3 into summer :p

I'd be happy with a weekday if it was between the hours of 6 and 9pm est. But a Sunday is fine also. The more people that can make that work the merrier

And obviously not everyone is gonna be content with the time, no matter the outcome. That's life

Sunday at 2 is fine for me, there is a chance I may end up getting called to a clients for work but it is what it is. I'll deal with it

right, ive just been trying to get mysel a little more clued up on whats happening on sunday and ive got a couple of "noob" questions....

I know the draft is going to be in a random order and we have 60secs to pick how is this going to work...

We have to pick "x" players and in set positions, does that order matter, will it be decided?

Is there a certain amount of money that we each have to spent on our teams, and and can only pick players within the limit, or could we in theory have one person pick all the highest rated players (in theory as others would obviously pick some before that person could pick again!)

Sorry for such noob questions so close to the draft, but i couldnt get doing a practise draft as ironically my works computer doesnt have flash, and i couldnt find the answers elsewhere on the page!

Cheers in advance (just hope you still want me in the league after that :p )

Don't worry about asking - we all were first time players at one point, and I think we take a lot of information for granted now, so good on you for asking!

The draft will be a random order, and by the end of the draft, each of us will need to fill up our teams, covering the following positions:
Quarterback:1
Running Back:2
Wide Receiver:2
Tight End:1
Wide Receiver / Running Back:1
Kicker:1
Defensive Team:1 (For defense, you pick an entire team vs. an individual player)
Bench:6 (can be any position to swap in from week to week)

There's no money to allot to each pick, but each player can only be selected once - once they're picked, nobody else can pick them. If you're able to get all the best players at each position, well awesome, but I promise the rest of us won't let that happen. ;)

Sorry guys, but I dropped out. I wasn't going to be able to make the draft, I didn't really like the whole NFL.com site/app and I also just got invited into a pay keeper league.

If you can't find a replacement for me by the draft, I'll join back in and let the auto-draft make my team and I will update the roster along the way to be competitive, but this won't be the main league I'm keeping an eye on.

No problem! Sorry to hear, but I understand!

I'll reach out to a few of the people who asked about joining after we were full.
