I'm only going to "keep the habit" . I will probably just run a bit then come on home. I never really have all boys and P'lin here at the same time for dinner, so I think I will stock to 3 lbs. Funny thing is the big boys came home and the 12 year old told them they had to try Mom's new sauce. So you get completely unsolicited after the fact bragging rights. (Means much more).

Anyway, I am on Pinterest trying to locate tonight's meal. Season finale of TRUE BLOOD. I am going to miss that show !

Good Morning to call my fellow WHers from a wet and soggy Wisconsin!

Just about to make some breakfast and coffee that'll tide us through until we make it to the services on I80 at which point we'll splurge for one of their most excellent 20oz coffees (best ones around in 3 states!)

On the journey up I got Toma to act as my speaking watering hole delivery system so I kept an eye on what's going on, even when driving. May do the same on the way back.

So glad to hear you're feeling better K'lin. Good to hear you enjoyed X's rather excellent spag bol. And they say us Brits can cook decent food!

That reminds me of where my father is from Carrolton Missouri. That is the most hick place I have ever visited. Made me feel completely awkward to say the least. My family got more looks like ~ How in the heck does she fit, They're black~ looks. In all honesty, I could have been an alien and felt more comfortable.

Oh crap, let me explain. I am adopted, My family chose me from the equivalent of an orphanage when I was 4. So I am half black, half white adopted to a completely blond hair blue eyed caucasion family in the 70's... LOL Made for interesting dinner conversations to say the least .

Anyway... Thank you Toma for keeping your fellow travelers safe, and we will try to mind our manners since you are blessing us with your presents.

This reminds me of a fb post AM saw the other day where a Caucasian girl was irate because she had to explain to her kid they were half white half black.

Why be mad and why blame everyone else for trouble saying you are what you are. Beautiful and unique. It made no sense.

This being said by an Eskimo Cajun caucasion. AM is part Mexican and Irish. Gonna have a spitfire for a child when she hits her potential.

For me, It is more how people ask. EX... "what are you" is the biggest offender. I am a women, a mother, wife you get the picture.

Another favorite of mine "what is your nationality" I am American.

I laugh when people get upset with me and say "you know what I meant" Really I did, you said what you meant and I answered it.

A better question would be "what is your ethnic background" Awe, ok.... you have brains. That question I will answer.

As soon as we in society stop trying to label people according to the world that we are comfortable in. We will be ok! People come in all sizes, shapes, moral compasses, religious beliefs and colors. People should be judged by what they contribute to the universe, PERIOD. The ethnic origin of a person tells nothing about their contribution to the world, or what kind of person they are .
