This is a sound pack containing some extra sounds I've found from various sources. The volume has been modified to the maximum on all files without waveform clipping enabled, which ensures the audio will sound its best in every circumstance, and eliminates the crackling and popping you may have heard in version 1. All files have been named to Android's specifications to avoid duplicate or "silent" sound listings, and have been tagged to display the proper name in the system.

It even works on JellyBean! :D (thanks to LilBit for testing!)

Programs and utilities used in this project:
Audacity
Bulk Rename Utility
MP3Tag
SolMiRe online MIDI to MP3 converter
Waterfox Browser with Video Download Helper add-on
Xilisoft Video Converter Ultimate 6

If anyone has any issues, questions or comments don't hesitate to let me know.

Mercury Sound Pack 4

I am currently working on making several themed sound packs. Requests are welcomed, so if you have a theme idea, let me know!

Mercury Sound Pack - ICS & Jellybean Sounds - as requested by LilBit
Mercury Sound Pack - Blackberry Sounds - as requested by LilBit
Mercury Sound Pack - Mario 1
Mercury Sound Pack - Zelda 64
More to come!

Enjoy!

Thanks, guys :) I try! I usually just think of stuff that would help me out, then think "Hey, my compatriots on AF might enjoy this too." In this case I had some help. I hadn't got so far as to include volume modified sounds in my ROM before Whitefiretiger's request. Has anyone tried them yet to verify they perform properly when installed in the system? I tested them for volume, and I can attest to one thing and one thing only: they're LOUD!

The link is taking me to a log in screen

Unless I'm misinformed, Dropbox requires you to have a Dropbox account to download anything. If you don't have one, feel free to use the link in my signature to sign up. I'll try linking it again using a different method tonight to see if I can circumvent this.

I noticed they sound decent on my PC, but on my Warp I noticed some distortion as well. If you nudge the volume control down a bit, it goes away. I know it seems counterproductive and all to add louder sounds to the phone only to have to turn down the volume, but it works lol

If everyone would like, I can make a version that isn't boosted (and therefore clipped) quite so much.

I haven't tried this yet so... Should I back up my files first?
Also, do I just copy to the folders or is this a zip file to flash?
Thanks!

If you'd like, you can back up your old audio folders, but it's not really necessary. It's not a flashable, just an archive you extract then copy over your old audio folders (alarms, notifications, ringtones, ui) and you're all set.

Edit: For future reference, it is now a flashable lol

Glad to see this thread bumped back up, I installed these before I joined the forum,(i did a lot of things here before joining) but, I use them a lot and they work good for me. No complaints here.
Love the rooster!!!!

Thanks, I figured everyone forgot about this! Glad you like it. I do need to touch them up however, and add some extra sounds I've found since I uploaded this version.

Wow!! Perfect timing!! I just did a complete wipe and reinstall of Mr. Bobo's rom, and I put in a new sd card. Super cool dude!! I mean it couldn't have come at a better time!

YAY!!:five:

Edit: Aww, That sucks. Well, I still have the old ones to use!!
You posted at the same time almost. Timing again? Crazy!!

How's that go... ? Something about great minds and thinking alike? ;-)

Will the new ones have the rooster? thats my fav!!

They sure will :) In this series of sound packs, I'm not planning on taking any sounds out, just adding more in each new pack :)
