Like with Maps, I use Facebook everyday and I am not going to update this app until I know it's good, maybe I will try it tomorrow barring any terrible experiences posted by people.

I have heard of this Authentication issue, but I don't get that error and I use the Facebook app several times every day... But I do not use any of the Sense/FB apps except to sync calendar and contacts every 8 hours. i have never gotten an authentication error (or any other error), so I am probably not a good tester on this one.

It seems to have fixed it for me. I haven't had the issue since the last update.

Edit: No, it didn't get fixed. Started doing it again today.

I had it happen 3 times today.
Had to hit that "uninstall updates" button again. UGH

Rumor also is that the new update doesn't place hi-rez photos into the contacts anymore...

Just blurry low-rez....

I haven't updated as I also had the FAILED AUTHOR issue...

After the most recent update, my FB (and other friends of mine, on both Android AND the iPhone) keeps freezing - not exactly crashing, but freezing to the point that I can't use it and for some reason, in the "running apps" section of the phone settings, I can't seem to be able to completely kill the app any longer. Only a phone reboot (temporarily) solves the issue.

The new leaked .2 RUU solved the Maps issue, My Skype issue and the Facebook Failed Authorization for me...

The RUU did wipe the phone to factory fresh, but overall the phone operates the best it ever has...

Rumor mill indicates that this .2 version (which introduces global operation also) will get a release possibly sometime in September...

UPDATE - I just got the Facebook Authorization Failure on this .2 RUU and the latest update of Facebook. So, the .2 RUU doesn't correct it

I havent had the Auth issue with the .2RUU but FB app keeps hanging as described above.

I continued to get FB auth failures (less frequently - only about twice a day) with the .2RUU.

Looks like a new update is out - specifically to address the app crashes/hanging. Dunno if it may address the constant authentication failures, but we can hope!

I never did the update, but all my contact pics have gotten blurry and low rez now sometime over the last week, thought it was just a dirty/scratched screen protector but after replacing it I know it is not. Also, doesn't seem related to the Facebook app since I am still on v1.9.7

Be sure to check that you are syncing correctly... Once I updated to this new version (1.9.9), it fail syncing... Once I manually sync'd, it's been fine...

This new version (1.9.9) also seems to have corrected the failed authorization issue... but time will tell.

At one time I had the issue of it not syncing and had forgotten I had changed the password... Once that was corrected, everything worked fine...
