Is Jelly Bean still on schedule?

Is Samsung to blame if the American variants get the update late? I thought it was a carrier issue, not sure though. For the International one, if they release it tomorrow as rumoured, they would be the first company to roll out the update, beside Google with its Nexus line of phones and tablets.

I think this pretty much nails down where the issue for updates comes from. The carrier.

Unbranded gets update with in months. Every one else tack another 6+ on. Not hard to see it is the carriers holding it up.

So what's the estimate for Sprint to roll out a GS3 Jelly Bean update?

I'm pretty excited about the update based mostly on my understanding that you will no longer need an internet connection to do voice recognition, which should make anything voice-to-text based (read S-Voice, texting/emailing) much faster!

With Sprint there is no telling. Hopefully by the end of the year. I'm hoping for sometime around Thanksgiving. I just hope Sprint does not make us wait pass the end of the year.

I had an international unbranded S2 and the updates were released by region. I waited about a month an a half for ICS from the official release date. My region was XEF which is France. So Samsung will probably push it out the same way. From what I can remember some UK regions got it first.

Yep. By region, in batches. So there will be several released scheduled for UK or XX (however Samsung manage it).
