Hello :)
I'm not getting any 4g on my phone. I'm in an area that I used to have 4g in, but for some reason, I'm only getting 1x.
Of course, I'm rooted with #2 v2.4 installed. (No add-on themes or anything.)

i've noticed i've been getting a lot of 3g after waking up the phone (i use JD to turn data off while screen is off) but it seems to fix itself short after.

I think it's on metros end. A lot of people have claimed this. Maybe they are upgrading to 10mbps like they said they are gonna do with all these new 4g phones.

Well, it's been like this for a few months, and I haven't seen the 4g signal even in a different county.
Reason I'm asking now is because our router is gone and I want to use my tablet, so I have to tether... Unfortunately im getting like 100 kb/s..

Someone said they got their month paid for because of it. Idk. I'd still call metro regardless just cause i like being a smart ass to stupid people. I take my pent up aggression from here and take it out on them. Lmao

Guess I'll be callin em later today :D
Hey Fuzzy, I'm going to attempt to theme something and I'm gonna need help. I'll pm you in a sec.

You can easily get your 4G working again. All you need to do is learn black magic or at least wait till metro is done with their upgrade. They are really going to need the upgrade with the masses who are going to flocking to metro for a no contract s3 for 55 a month unlimited everything... It's just too much to pass up. Also contract people are b*tching up a storm because metro pcs users can get a high end phone like them lol.

Does that area happen to be near Boston, MA? and do do you always have 1x or does it just appear sometimes? Ive been having the same problem but i dont even get 1x all the time. it just randomly shows up sometimes then goes away,

No, it's actually in michigan.
I don't even have any signal at all in my new house.
It's looking more and more apparent that I'll have to get rid of my Esteem.
Anyways, this doesn't really matter anymore.
At my old house, I had relatively good service and a few months ago, I had 4g there.
Well, I just plain don't have service here.
I might jump to Verizon and get an S3.
I don't really know yet; I might stay on metro if they can get a tower near here or something.
Either way, that S3 is really enticing, especially given it's specs :)

Im about 30 miles south of you, and I got 4g, once i get around 27mile area it drops down to 3g/1x. When I'm in my house I usually only have one bar and it tends to be on 3g.
