I've been reading on this website (phandroid.com) how the HTC Incredible is going to verizon, the HTC Supersonic is going Sprint... The Nexus One is going Verizon & AT&T.

my question is this, How come everybody else is getting all the hottest phones and t-mobile keep a SAD collection of android phone for their customers? I visit the t-mo website and all you see is the G1 (already outdated), bunches of mytouch 3G, and Samsung Behold II. And then there is the Nexus One which is available thru google.

my complaint is, okay so there will not be any special phones for T-mo? To me it seems like all the other providers are getting the latest and greatest while t-mo keeps watever phones... i STILL have my sidekick gekko and i seriously want something to replace it! However there is nothing to do so with!

does any other T-mo customer feel this way?

I know how you feel, I have felt that way for awhile, like Tmobile never gets good phones, they just always keep the same old simple phones and sometimes they'll get some cool ones. I have no idea why they do this. Maybe they can't support them on their next work cause their 3G isn't up and running everywhere, or they just can't get contracts with anyone because they saw how the Nexus One sales went when it was only with Tmobile and don't want to get with them. I'm not sure, but I don't like it. I wish they'd give some kind of indicator about what phones will be coming in the future.

I agree, but take a sigh of relief.

Most carriers just have 3.2 inch 500mhz android phones at the moment except for the Droid on Verizon. The "incredible" is all stuff that is coming in the future.

T-mo will probably have these phone:

Motoroi - Its supposed to be announced on march 29th, and it's the Droid without the keyboard. (available in South Korea)

Sony Xperia X10 - hope the f_k T-mobile goes this one! 4"

Dell Mini 5 - 5" phone.

There should be a lot more, it seems from the past t-mobile doesn't announce it until like 2 weeks before.

I saw HD2 this weekend. It's great, a real superphone, nice 4.3 inch screen, and its slim. I won't get it because I want an Android phone and it runs WinMobile, but it uses HTC Sense so it's pretty cool. I wouldn't know how difficult the Android OS Rom would be, but I'm sure there would be many problems (camera..ect)

Nexus 1 is another t-mobile choice, you won't find it in stores, but it's powerful, and runs the newest Android release. I've never even seen this phone.

The HTC HD2 cannot run Android. So it may be a decent phone, but why would anyone want it on Tmobile if its just Windows Mobile, and its not even 7, its going to be stuck in 6.5 forever, literally, it will never get WM7.

[PROJ] Linux on HTC LEO / HD2 - xda-developers

I figured if anyone would do it, it would be XDA. Saying the HD2 "cannot" run android is just a false statement. Also, just because it won't have an official win7 rom, doesn't mean you won't be able to flash a cooked rom, which you'll probably find in XDA as well (only a matter of time). If you are the type of person who won't root or use custom roms, you're right, but who keeps stock roms these days?

;)

I know that there are roms for WM7, I have seen those, just google search HTC HD2 WM7, or something of the like, and there are lots of articles about WM7 roms for the HTC HD2, but as far as I know there won't be an official release of it from Windows.

As far as Android is concerned, I would love for someone to show documenation of some kind for this, I checked a few days ago over at XDA and there was nothing about it. Nothing on Google, nothing on the best website for it. Things change quick, but who knows, I just haven't found anything on it.

I guess I'm just sad that such a device with such specs sells itself short with its premier of WM 6.5 and a possibly bland future.

I just hate Apple, love Android, and am sympathetic for Windows.

First post!

My contract isn't up until November so I am holding out hope there will be a device available by then that will keep me with T-Mobile. Coverage in Atl has been great so I don't see a need to pay a lot more on another network. Right now the lineup is weak and I definitely wouldn't stay if this is what will be on deck. Any insight into the Bravo/Desire? I keep reading about it coming to T-Mo and then AT&T. November is a long way away. By then we could have a 1.5 Ghz superphone out there! One can dream...

Exclusive: iPhone On T-Mobile USA, Dreams Do Come True | TmoNews - Unofficial T-Mobile Blog - News, Videos, Articles and more

Some people will like this. I however do not like this news. The iPhone is a fad and I hate it for that reason. Android > iPhone.

But there is your new phone for TMobile one of these days.

Looks like that might have been an April Fools joke because the page is no longer available and the post is not listed on the site. Thank goodness. We don't need the iPhone to spread and have T-Mobile pull back on new phone introductions b/c they think the iPhone will gain them so much traction.

Yeah I think you're right. That was a pretty intricate post though, and I had previously heard rumors of the iPhone going to TMobile.

I want to know why T-Mobile UK has so many awesome phones and Tmo US is getting the shaft?

The fractured US spectrum. The AT&T 3G frequencies match more European carriers than those used by T-Mobile USA. Let us all hope that LTE deployments in the US put AT&T and T-Mobile back on compatible frequencies (and add VZW since they're going LTE too).

The iPhone is a fad and I hate it for that reason.

The iPhone has increased market share every year since release, it definitely is not a fad. I can see an influx of customers competing for tower connections degrading service as an argument for not wanting a T-Mobile iPhone. If anything blame the frequency licensing for the phone selection. Doesn't matter which phones a carrier brands and markets as long as manufacturers are willing to make phones compatible with the carrier's network.

What I meant by the iPhone being a fad is that there is a small percentage of people who actually purchase the iPhone for its features, display, cpu power, etc... They buy the phone because it's an "iPhone" and they thought the touch screen was neat because their friend/brother/coworker/dog had one. There are people out there who think all mp3 players are iPods for crying out loud.

The iPhone is a fad and people who purchase it are guilty of poor consumerism.

Haha, as much as I think my phone kills iPhone, and I'm a little angry that apple sued HTC, I do think iPhone is a great game-changing product . :) Its user friendly.. connected, Look at all the Apps, and songs you can download.

But I hope that T-mobile doesn't get iPhone, they've filled that 'void', with innovation - great Android products, and hot phones like HD2.

Well TMo needs to get something b/c I hate my cliq and I think that this phone blows. One of the biggest regrets I have is giving my Iphone to the wife who wont give it back.

Unfortunatley there isn't another phone that tmo has that I would want b/c I felt that the other android smart phones were inferior for what I wanted. I'm soooo pissed that the n1 isn't in store b/c I couldn't imagine spending that much money on a phone that I can't test out

I came to tmobile b/c at the time, verizon was behind(and expensive) when it came to phone production. Now tmobile has fallen well behind everybody

Sorry for the rant but I just really hate this phone

You could always get the HTC HD2, and hack it to where you can have 2.1 and Sense on it.

If Tmo doesn't come out with anything new soon, then that's probably what I'm going to do.
