Root [CDMA] Anyone have a guide for flashing my Evo 3D to Verizon $50 a month prepaid?

Hi all

Discussing the actual flashing of a phone from one carrier to another is illegal, so we don't condone discussions on the topic. If a user flashes to another carrier before joining a discussion here, it's fine. But this isn't the place for flashing instructions as the ESN/IMEI/MEID is messed with, which is the illegal part.

I'll leave the discussion open, for now, as other users have suggested solutions that do not involve messing with the ESN/MEID. Thanks!

Had no idea Flashing was illegal. There is about 7 stores in a 10 block radius of me that flash cricket boost and iwireless
Haha

If done by the carrier, then it is considered legal, because they will (most likely) check to make sure the device isn't stolen or flagged for some reason and will likely note the change in any databases.

Personally, I think people should avoid those flashing shops, too, as you don't know if they will do it properly and if the FCC won't go after you as an accomplice, anyways.

I am looking for a flash guide so i can flash my htc evo 3d to verizons 50 a month prepaid plan! Im sick of sprints slow network lol. Thanks

I don't have a guide but I know someone very reliable that can do it, even remotely. PM me if you need to. Also, if you plan on add a custom rom do it after its flashed but beware of the "roaming notices" that may appear after the use of a lot of data. I am trying to find a custom rom that does not do this but no luck as of yet. My phone even got totally locked out of service because of this and took me hours to get it back going.

I've got an htc evo 3d that I'm gonna flash to verizon 50 dollar prepaid between now and my last post I've flashed quite a few phones and I'm gonna put a guide up on the how to do it. Right now I'm waiting on the mods to let me know if another guide I posted will be allowed to stay up. If not then check out xda between now and this weekend and you'll find a guide on flashing the evo 3d to verizon prepaid.

Here's a link to my youtube page

Did someone really say that a Sprint phone on verizon prepaid will be SLOWER on data? That couldn't be any further from the truth...I do about 50-60 a month for customers all over the country & everyone says the same thing...Verizon PP 3g is KILLING sprint/boost/etc and much wider coverage...don't let haters or uninformed people mislead you...CDMA phones are CDMA phones...they work the same on any CDMA network if PROPERLY programmed...the only diff between Sprint & Verizon phones is 4g/LTE (But that's not a discussion since you don't get it with prepaid on either network) and the way the ROM is written to accept OTA programming which won't allow Sprint phones to OTA on foreign networks (which is why I flash so many phones thank God lol)

skimming thru the last few posts,i only saw a couple comments that vzw prepaid is faster, wich i could certainly believe, depending on where in the boost/cricket/sprint/pageplus/whatever cdma network map youre located. verizon has a pretty strong signal just about everywhere you go.

unless you saw a reference to the lack of 4g,wich as you noted,is not available on vzw prepay.
