Root Beats Audio Installer

I unbricked by doing chapter four of hastags pdf. Life saver!

How did you go about getting the MSL? If the phone doesn't boot up to enter ##DATA#? Thanks!

UPDATE/Edit: I was able to obtain the MSL, by following the Jcase root method. However, initally I was just getting the 000000000/FFFFFFFF in the ebi0_cs0.bin file after numerous attempts.

I was able to get a good dump by having the QPST Memory Debug program put the phone into download mode, rather than forcing it by using the Volume buttons.

My phone was stuck on the LG logo screen when turning it on, and it appears to be in Diagnostic mode. When obtaining the Memory Region information, QPST Prompted with an option for it to put the phone in Download Mode. This maybe useful for those who were constantly getting the empty data in the .bin file and need to obtain the MSL to flash back to stock.

I called pretending like i had eror 67. I played along untill they gave me the number, then I hung up :)

I didn't even think about that. Nice and easy..

If you used jcase's method to root the phone, then you will have already gotten your MSL. If you used my method, the lgoeExploit program would have told you your MSL.

Thanks Giantpune. I used the one click method that hashtag kindly made, so I didn't notice the MSL number. I was able to obtain it using the Jcase method, as I updated my post above. Still flashing to stock, but so far so good.

Actually, I bornked my phone with this Beats Audio once again. However, I left ##DIAG# enabled this time around and was able to reflash the JCASE .tot and repush the adb commands to get it operational again (and rooted). I was stuck at the LG logo, but booted into recovery and was able to flash the JCASE .tot

*EDIT This is why you need to have your MSL and leave ##DIAG# enabled regardless of what you do.

Will it work on my friends OP S? I'd ask them over at that forum but they don't answer questions/are as helpful as the OE family:)

Should.... BUT can't say for sure... If your friend is rooted and has a custom recovery then he/she could make a backup in recovery and try it. That way if it screws up, the backup could be restored to fix it.

If not on custom recovery I wouldn't suggest it just in case. It seems to work most of the time but always a chance of gaining a paperweight.

Sorry I can't be more helpful but beats was initialy made for htc phones and people have ported it over to non htc phones. Just no way to know 100% how it will work
