Root [ROM] MidnightRom: Sense 1.5.4

Well, since you're using 4EXT, you can just "Superwipe EXT4 (all partitions)" And itll do it for ya ^_^ It'll leave your sd card alone though, so no worries on that part!

Since you have S-ON, be sure you have the "S-ON: 4EXT SmartFlash" option checked in the settings. This will make sure that EVERYTHING get's flashed like it should ^_^

Good to hear!

Yeaaaa. It's still an issue. >_< I haven't had it happen to me on 1.2.5 yet though. It may be fixed

Is 3D broken on this ROM?

I've noticed that when I update the binaries for superuser, not super su that my titanium backup can no longer get root permissions. Also according to root checker I'm no longer properly rooted. I have both superusers pro so I am o.k. but would like to know why I cannot update the binaries on the one and yet I can on the other. Thanks. Other than that it's a really cool rom, bit of a battery hog but really nice.

My impression about the "wake of death" - and certainly my experience when I was getting it - is that it tends to happen when you wake a device from sleep after charging it, then disconnecting it.

By default, coming off the charger triggers a power managment vibration event, and that event was causing the UI to lock up. For me, that vibration was not actually causing a crash -and I wish it had. Rather, it made the whole system freeze up, with the display flickering on and off briefly when I tried to power the device on.

Midnight is based on the Anthrax 3.2.x kernel, which is an actively developed beta kernel. My advice is to sign up for an account at anthrax-kernels.us so that you can decouple the kernel from the rom. I'm s-on but have been using 4ext with smart flash enabled and have been having good luck.

Also worth a look is the init.qcom.post_boot.sh script developed out of Negalite. Negalite tracks the Anthrax kernel as well and their post boot script is well-documented. That script is where I originally found the loopysmoothness tweaks. I ultimately broke the loopy tweaks into their own init.d script.

xdank, I'm noticing that the Negalite script, when run manually from an adb shell, throws fewer errors than the one I tested last with Midnight. It might be worth taking a look?

There is a standalone installer for that init script called "negalite-battery_saver-v1.zip" but I don't know if that ROM is linkable from outside the anthrax-kernel site.

I'll write the author a note and ask.

It might be a codec issue. Is this during playback using the same recording app, different app? What kind of file is the sound recorded as?

I'm using the stock camera app

I think I can use my iPod and record my phone what noise does it bring out every time when some come loud like a tv or person scream a weird buggy noise come out
And yeah is during the playback when I finished recording

Hi, i want to ask a question or report a bug? so i had 1.2.3 installed and all of the toggles worked switching 4g, wifi. After updating to the 1.2.5 switches never turn to ON... and i wifi, 4g won't turn on.. any tips on fixing? Im absolutely loving the rom, and pretty much always update to latest but had to go back to 1.2.3 backup that i've made and everything works fine. Thanks for looking into my problem.

Try wiping cache and dalvik and trying again.
