Swype without problems

Have you rebooted your phone yet since it's been installed?

I've been using that version, which is actually compatible with the Droid, for several weeks now, without any incompatibility messages, lock-ups, force closes, or need to switch keyboards to make it work. Apparently, the Swype beta installer was installing the wrong version on our Droids, even after they purportedly fixed that issue. This .5612 version works without a single problem, and I reboot several times a day.

Awesome I'll have to install it.

Why do you reboot several times a day though?

I'm always messing with things -- trying new kernels, moving apps in and out of system, performing nandroid backups, etc. I use Root Explorer to move things in and out of /system/app, and generally you have to reboot before those changes manifest, particularly when moving an app in. So I'm rebooting a lot and like I said, I haven't received an incompatibility message or had a need to apply the switch keyboard fix since I installed Swype version .5612.
