Help Push notifications question

Hi all.
With my A100 I'm not sure how to get the notifications when the tab is at sleep, how can I change this as it's getting a little annoying not receiving messages emails etc until I actually wake it. I hope I've posed this question properly and thanks for any help offered.

When your receive an email or message there a blue notification o the top of your tab it should blink when receiving any kind of notifications

Oh yeah just go to settings then sounds you should see on that says notifications click on it an choose Wat ever sound you want.
