Root {DISCONTINUED}MegaTron 6.2.5 (Updated 7/13/13)

alrighty my friends a protective case for the ultra? any known good manufacturers that the freaking tabs wont break off of?

Get a thick rubber one that doesnt even make the phone look bigger. Think i saw one on amazon.com for around 3 or 4 bucks. Just search samsung transform ultra cases on there and you'll find a good one.

Just finished my upgrade from $hevron to Megatron. Everything went very smoothly, your instructions are great. After I finished. I went into Goomanager and did an update check. I downloaded the update and told it to restart and flash. it rebooted in CWM but didn't automatically start. I just did an "install from zip", and found the update file in the Goomanager Directory. Rebooted, and reinstalled Link2SD. Now hopefully I'm not up to late messing around lol

I very much enjoyed showing off $hevron. So tomorrow should be fun. I've already got 2 people who want me to flash their TU's, just been waiting on 6.0

Good Job!!!
Thank you all!!!
Your time and effort are truly appreciated!!!
:congrats: :congrats: :congrats:

First I would like to thank Chev and Mav as well as any others who put work into this awsome rom. This is by far the best rom(in my opinion) sin.ce my days on the vibrant and team whiskey. I've tried all other roms in this forum but they all fall a lil short overall. This one fits me perfect. I have had no problems as of yet. I even restored some of my apps with no problem. Can't loose my angry birds. And last. I've been running this rom for about 17 hours moderately and still have 28% battery left. Now just waiting for a new battery cycle to install the update. Sorry this is so long but I just had to give credit where its due. THANKS :D

Btw: I used go backup to backup and restore apps and data... all is good.

Hey all, just having a minor issue, and wanted to get everyone's opinion.

The last couple days or so, my wifi and 3G don't change color, or if they do, they change back to grey after only a couple minutes. Any ideas why? Internet and everything still works, and it did this while I was on CTMod as well, so I know it has nothing to do with Megatron (though connection speeds have seemed a tad slower since the changeover) . Right now, I'm thinking about re-flashing the baseband, and see if that clears anything up.

Removed Apk's

heres a Zip of all the Removed apk's from the ROM, if you see something thats missing from the ROM and the List, it means you can get it from the market.
RemovedApk's.zip
Download it and anything you want to add back to the ROM use a Root explorer and place the app in /system/app then tap on it to install and reboot. Better instructions coming soon.

thank you men i need the gtalk i have a lot of contacts in there

Update went great! I had no problems with 6.0, but I'll take an update anyways. It seems that it's still the same Silky Smooth Rom that I had before! Hooray!! Thanks again Chev & Mav!

I second that! D/L'ed update with Goo, then powered down into CWM, performed a backup, and installed zip like a dream. Had to do a "Quick Reboot" of Link2SD after first boot however, as apps were not showing up right away.. No problems after that though. :D

@powerkane: No, no problems with downloading apps or anything, just happened to notice that the wifi and 3G bars weren't changing green (or blue, rather, given the theme I'm using :p) like they usually do.

Anyway, to update my situation, I did go ahead and re-flash the baseband, and the bars have stayed colored for the last couple hours now, so I'm pretty sure my Ultra is finally happy. :)

@Chev: Kind of off-subject of my post, but I noticed my phone plays the normal Samsung sound at boot-up; is it supposed to? If so, then I have a few notification sounds I can pull from a Verizon ROM I have laying around that we could use to make the boot sound more transformer-like ;)

First time trying any rom of yours, Awesome work! A few things that arent really bugs or anything but more comments and questions.
First, after installing multiple apps from the market, my notifications (too many) ran over the time making the time not clearly visible. Is there a way that I could fix that?

Second, awesome with the options in the pull down menu. Is there a way that the slide to clear could work? Is it supposed to? Just wondering, no biggie.

Third, is there an easy way to switch themes without cwm? I flashed the ICS theme and thought it would be cool to switch without reboot.
Last, does the color change on the 3g and wireless in the black and white theme? I prefer it to the ics but if the color never changes, I may have to ask how to change some things to get the blue wireless status like the ics theme.

1. Im working on a fix for that.

2. Not sure if i understand you here.. Just slide to the left or right on any notification and you will see the animation where it starts to move with your finger.

3. No everything has to been done in cwm.

4. It should change to white when fully connect and gray when partially connected.

I'll have to do it in the morning, then. I've got work tomorrow and need to get to sleep. Plus, the files are on my computer and I don't remember what format they are. I used to have them on my SD card, but I deleted the zip to make space. :p

Im working on a new boot up sound but if you still have them i'd love to hear them.

i do still have them, but they're on the pc, which is off at the moment.

How exactly do I check the baseband? I mean I can see where it says baseband on my phone but currently it says S:M930.02xEG30.

The EG30 portion is your baseband number. Check post #1260 for a CWM-flashable update to the baseband. ;)

i know chev don't want to be rude so i will
don't use titanium back up unless you know what your doing :/ and don't complain something is broken after you used titanium.... if your gonna ignore his warnings he posted on the first page.... you'll have to re flash your phone... if it doesn't brick it first...

Yea but that's the ONLY app I had problems with that I restored with titanium.

#1 all you need to do is click clear when pull down the menu or swipe it right or left to remove the notification so your time will be visible
