Wallpaper on the Hero - sizes? formats?

Hello all,

I am posting this in the Hero section because I think it might be specific due to the screen res and SenseUI.

What resolution does a wallpaper image need to be to fill the 7 screens of the Hero and have decent detail? Also, does it have to be jpg, bmp or something else?

I'd quite like a go at creating some, but can't find the answers anywhere. Any help would be appreciated.

I believe it's 640 x 480. An image that size should 'fit' all 7 home screens (in relation to the background image moving less when panning left or right).

Whereas, Lekky is correct, 320 x 480 for one static screen, i.e the lock screen. Correction - 320 x 455 for lock screen, c/o Slug.

The lockscreen dimensions are actually 320x455.
