Trying to find out what this is.

So some time ago someone posted this lock screen under the LG Connect section. I tried messaging the guy and also posting in that thread to but to no avail.

The thing is i love this lock screen setup, especially the app widget at the top.

But i have googled and googled and can't figure out what that app thing is called or where to get it.
I see it is a similar to a "cover flow" or a "carousel" or "card stack"

I CAN'T FIND IT. GRRRR!

...He's using launcher pro with a custom dock. Meaning he might have made that himself. However, dragging the homescreen image to google images shows that he's using aWeather for his time display.

I read that too, but i am pretty sure he is talking about one of the other 3 screen shots.

I looked up launcher pro custom dock and it doesn't do anything like that. The only things i have seen that come close to doing anything similar is Widget Locker or Beautiful Widgets or TSF Shell.

But I have messaged the guy twice to ask what that app launcher carousel widget lockscreen thingy is and haven't heard back yet.

I really really really wish someone could tell me what it is.
I haven't ever seen anything else like it on anyone's screen shots.
I don't even know what that effect is called. It is kind of like "cover flow" but cover flow turns the icons at an angle. Carousel is the closest thing i could think to call it.

Well its clearly a widgetlocker lockscreen but I have no idea what that widget is, I'd also like to have that widget haha

Is it circle launcher? Have you tried that one? Looks like you need the paid version for a horizontal scroll like that.

I msged him as well when he was online but no reply.

I wish I could find out what that app widget on the lockscreen is, as well as the unlock slider.

Edit: I tried circlelauncher however, and it's not it. It works in a similar way (assuming the one in the screenshot functions how I think it does) however its not actually 'carousel' and is very limited.

Yeah I found that Wave Launcher and CircleLauncher, but i think that is an actual launcher, not just a lock screen quick launch widget.

The CircleLauncher is very very close since is has that mac style animation.

I also found UlitmateFavesPro which is a Carousel style launcher, but again, not a lockscreen widget.

Everything indicates that he is using Widget Locker so it is most likely some type of Widget Locker add-on that maybe not many people know of.

If he is using Widget Locker it would have to be a Widget Locker widget right? I don't know of any lockscreen widgets that work cross application, unless it were some type of FRAMEWORK mod that is installed directly to the ROM, but i doubt that, the status bar looks stock.

There is still an off chance it is Launcher Pro Plus Unlocker, but I tried searching google images and youtube but didn't see anything like that.

I know that the person also has TSF Shell Launcher according to his other posts, and TSF Shell does a lot of stuff like that, just watch the video...however nothing about lockscreens.

Ok, I'll jump in and help with trying to find it.
Wonder though, if it will work on a Galaxy Tab 10.1?

Ok, so I downloaded wave launcher and it is very similar to the one in the original post. However as you can see it is not the same. But it does work on the lock screen as you can see, this is a Go Locker lockscreen. And i also have Widget Locker which specifically had an option to disable Wave Launcher, though i already had Wave Launcher before installing Widget Locker, so i can't say for sure that the option would have been there otherwise.

I am still interested in finding out what the one in the OP is because it looks much nicer than Wave Launcher.

Well Wave Launcher was so dang close that i decided to go back to the page and started clicking the links to other similar apps and it eventually led me to it.

So Far I am really enjoying it.

One tiny thing though that could be implemented though is disabling it on the lock screen. I do of course like the ability to launch it from the lock screen, i would just like the option to disable that. WidgetLocker actually has an option to disable Wave Launcher on the lock screen and Dock4Droid could benefit from that too.....the reason for that is that if you have a security lock then using this will bypass the security. HOWEVER you can quickly enable and disable the app from the notification drawer....and in addition you can make it invisible so that even if you did lose your phone then a person might not figure out it's even there.

I still haven't really had to time to get familiar with Widget Locker yet. I really like my Go Locker theme, but i am certain i could clone it with Widget Locker, it is fully customizable, or at least i could get really close. Plus I could get a better lock screen music control, since as you can see the music control on my lock screen is not that attractive.
