no official announcement, just a wall street journal article. based upon that, the apple stock is soaring today.

No link, fox news radio and tv. Apple and verizons shares are up big because of it.. no one is denying it so I think its true

I'm not an expert on the differences but the DROID uses stock while the Incredible uses sense.....there will be some differences.

Hey guys, no new news here, just a funny story...

So I head into my local VZW store and start milling around. The place was pretty busy so I thought to myself "Not worth staying here just to ask a question and get shot down." So I start out the door and the greeter stopped me to ask if I had found everything I needed. The conversation then proceeded thusly:

Me: Yeah, I was just looking...but maybe you can answer a question for me?

Greeter: O.K....

Me: I have a NE2 coming up in about a month and I have heard a lot of talk about a new phone you guys have coming out soon - the HTC Incredible...have you heard anything about it?

Greeter: I...uh...errr...let me go get...uh...let me find someone to answer that for you *goes to the back, brings out a supervisor who immediately comes up to me and asks without introducing herself:*

Supervisor: What were you asking about??

Me: The HTC Incredible.

Supervisor: *Looking at the floor* Oh. Yeah...we, uh...don't...where did you say you saw this? The Verison website?

Me: No. But I have been following this phone for quite a while and I have heard that you guys will be releasing it pretty soon...

Supervisior: Oh. Well, no. We have the HTC Eris and Imago. We haven't gotten any new phones from them in a while. But you are welcome to keep checking Verizonwireless.com. It will have the most accurate information.

Me:OK, thanks.

My friend was with me and as soon as we got out the door he was like "Haha, she couldn't even look at you while she was lying to you."

It was funny. True story.

Truth be told: I was listening to the news and they announced that Apple stock was soaring on the news that the iPhone was coming to VZ. For about 5 seconds I was tempted to wait for the iPhone. TRULY!! Somebody save me!

Apps are associated with you Google account. You can wipe the phone, change esn on ur Verizon account, then set up the phone again. Your apps will be in the market under my downloads. I would take time to reinstall paid apps immediately so you don't lose them.

Paid apps are tied to your google account, so you only buy one time. That does not mean (as far as I know) that you do not have to go back out and reinstall them for a new phone.
Yes a phone can be wiped, it would kinda suck having to return a phone that had all your personal information on it.

The random HTC Incredible wikipedia page says that the Incredible will be called the HTC Axis upon release, which was edited by the same person who said it would be called the HTC Titan upon release. No username though, only an IP it looks like
