Well, I'm tired of this phone.

The radio interface crap error is an everyday thing for me. I cant text for more than 5 minutes without getting it. I'm sick of it, and have decided I want a new phone.

I just wanted to know, since this phone is like brand new, if there was any place I could sell it online, for its parts? I wouldnt want to sell it to a person because of this shitty error. But I mean, I spent 300 on this phone. I want some of my money back.

That's why you root the phone and then do s-off and flash a new radio. It's simple, and I know you shouldn't HAVE to do that for your phone to work but there are many other benefits from it. It tremendously increases your signal strength and network speed, plus you can flash custom roms to customize your phone experience right down to the core - literally, right down to the dual-core.

Selling a phone as is for parts online you would be lucky to get $100 to $150. Just like you, people should do research on any potential problems. So I would just sell it on ebay or craigslist for $220 or so. Besides fixing any issues rooting on any phone allows you to customize it to your personal preference instead of the manufacturers . Which is Androids greatest strength.

If you sell it on craigslist, go for 250 or so because people will try to talk you down regardless of price, and you have to make room for that..

Honestly, you should just root/S-OFF it rather than sell it, have less money than you had before and end up getting a lower end phone. This phone has worked wonderfully for me, other than those SMS errors that were easily fixed by those radio updates.

As everyone is saying, learn to hack it for root and s-off and flash a new radio. It corrects the issues with the phone and makes it great.

Eventually VM will probably push out an update that will do the same thing, but until then just do it yourself.

In my opinion I don't think Android phones are for normal users. They're for power users who like to tinker. If you want a phone you don't have to modify then just get an iPhone lol.

I got the phone on Sunday and was getting the radio interference error for two days. I said "well this is unacceptable", went online and saw the fix, and performed the steps.

Now I love this phone.

If your going to sell it, sell it quick. I paid $229 at Radio Shack, brand new with a 30-day return policy.

The devaluation of these phones is brutal!

I would apply the root/s-off/radio fix than wait for VM to push out an update. There are quite a few people on this board who have pushed and talked to Sprint, VM, HTC on this matter. That was in June/July. It is half way through September already.
