It's a device that consists mostly of a large screen, of course it is fragile. Any brand and any model of the touchscreen phones will break if dropped into something that pierce the screen or damage the internals. So get a sleeve or case and keep it in a pocket without keys or other metals. I do that with my compact camera as well, if I dropped that I would be sure to have a broken screen or other ill effects.

does the Desire come with the neoprene sleeve like the Nexus One does? if so - i highly recommend it... great protection... also seems to help keep the dust out if you pocket your phone...

Going from the unboxing videos, I don't think it comes with a sleeve. Does it?

No, it doesnt come with a sleeve, its not as solid feeling as the iPhone or Nexus IMO. Bit more plasticky but still very well built.

Cost pennies on ebay. I've ordered a case for when I get the device. But would be a nice addition to have a branded one.
