i have the old $50 4g plan w unlimited youtube......

Never heard of that one. Is that what the metro store worker told you? Anyways the old 50 dollars plan if i remember correctly had unlimited loopt, metro navigator and 1 gig of mutimedia streaming. Thats probably what they meant by youtube. I heard if you go over theu just slow down your data from 4g to like 1g but it'll still show 4g on your status bar. You can check you data usage with the my metro app under billings.

Nah, i have the same plan. If you use up your 1gb of multimedia streaming they just disable apps like pandora and youtube. They don't throttle you or anything. You still keep the same speeds just no youtube/pandora. They were never good at checking up on how much out of that 1gb you use but now they do(well, atleast to me they do :().

@Bluesuga you can go to metropcs.com and make an account. Put in your info and you should be able to see how much you've use up.

so if i "upgrade" to the $55 unlimited i will lose my grandfathered youtube? and if so does that mean that youtube is not included in the $55 unlimited?
I'm just a bit confused about all of this so please bare with my silly questions.

I remember when i switched from the old 60 dollars plan to the new 55 dollars one they cut off my rhapsody but that was a pay to subscribe service. I wonder how they managed to disable your youtube and pandora. Those are both free. Are you sure they didn't just throttled you down to 1g so u just couldn't stream anymore?

I have the 55 dollars plan now. It's unlimited data. You can stream youtube along with anything else without worries. It's a hell of a deal I'm surprised it's still going better hop on it.

I second the notion to jump on the $55 plan while you still can. You'll be able to stream anything to your heart's content.

No point in upgrading to $55 plan if you have the $50 grandfather one. Just about everything is already unlimited on the grandfathered $50 anyway except for apps that stream video. Pandora does not affect my data usage on my grandfathered $50 plan so it shouldn't on yours either. In my opinion it's pointless to switch from ours but then again you're only talking about another 60 bucks a year.
