It's the newest version of Android available for our tablet. It stands for Ice Cream Sandwich. Basically comes with a new launcher, improvements to apps, some improvements in the processing of the device, and connectivity to things such as wi-fi. I find it was a big improvement and very glad I updated.
I have a feeling you're right, Sly. But ICS, combined with a good third party launcher, is still
a great combination.
ICS and Nova Prime here, and no complaints at all.
I'm not even sure a 3rd party launcher is necessary. I was really happy with ICS on my galaxy nexus. JB is nice, but other than being a little smoother, it isn't really much different than ICS.
Even though not much difference i'd still prefer to have JB, although as said above I highly doubt we will get support for it. Especially with the bans on our tablet still in some places.

I believe the ban applies to sales of the device only, there is nothing to stop Samsung from developing updates for devices currently in use. As for JB on my Tab, it would be nice to see it come along next year. But ICS is a vast improvement over HC and I'm quite happy with my Tab with ICS. So if JB doesn't get developed for Tabs, I won't be crushed.

Ya I knew it was just for stopping the sales, I'm just saying they probably won't keep supporting it if they aren't able to sell it; but my bet was they were going to stop support for it once ICS came anyway. Same I won't be that hurt either if it doesn't come. I'm hoping for a nexus tablet as my next one anyway, so we'll have to see what they come out with next year.

Same here. Very pleased with the Tab.
Heck, I was happy with HC.
Unfortunately, I've seen the demo video for the Note 10.1, and so now I've got an itch......
That baby looks killer.
But if I get one, I'll feel like a traitor.
Will you guys still let me in here?
