Help Ion, or Hero

So, i found this Google Ion, for 300 dollars, and this is essentially, a Hero (well insides atleast). And the Ion works on USA 3G D)
But before i found this i was thinking why not import the Hero? Which will be 600 dollars. And NO us 3G. (remember, Euro version, not The sprint AKA the HTC Villian as some are calling it haha.)
So do you guys think i should get the Ion seeing as it has US 3G? I have no 3G in my area(tmobile), so i thought it wouldnt matter, but i know (if i would import) the hero, tmobile would release 3g in my area. Its just my luck.
So what do you think i should get? The US 3G capable Ion, or the Hero?

And remember- this is not a MyTouch, it has all the same specs as the hero, just not the 5mp camera. But all well. And this has no warranty is my guess, so im going to root and apply the hero rom anyways.

So opinions?

Just so you know the MyTouch 3G is the same as the ION only difference being branding the cpu and ram are the same on both phones but the hero has a few more perks like 3.5 headphone jack... Check the specs on the links below....

I know the difference, I plan on getting a zune HD or something for my music. And yeah there are a few perks to the Hero, the screen for one has that special coating. But thats really it. I kinda always liked the look of the Ion too. Other than that the phones are the same.
