SG3 obstacles to overcome

I made a list last night of things my SG3 can't do that my iPhone would do. Some of these are big deals to me so if you could me out I'd greatly appreciate it.

1. My SG3 can't connect to my MacBook air. I've done Google searches and I can't come up with anything. The only thing it will do is charge the phone, nothing else. So I'm having to do everything on slow HP laptop and that's very aggravating.

2. The ear buds that comes with the phone will pause music, change the volume and when on a call it will end it, but nothing else. On the iPhone I could use siri and give other voice commends with the ear buds and never even look at the phone. With the SG3, I have to visibly look at the phone and go to the application I'm wanting to give a voice command.

3. I've spent more time with this than anything, but for some reason my genre isn't syncing correctly with my phone. The title, album and album artwork syncs fine, but not that genre. I called Samsung and they told me to try using PC studio and that didn't work either. So I've tried Kies, PC Studio, drag and drop on my PC and nothing works to correct the genre.

I'm hoping these issues can be corrected with some settings that I'm not familiar with. If I can get these corrected today, then I'll be 100% happy with this phone. If these are issues I'll just have to deal with, then I'll call my friend at AT&T and have them hold me an iPhone 5 to swap out. I really don't want to do the later, but I need this phone to do the things that are important to me and these things are important.

I'm looking forward to reading the replies and hopefully getting my issues resolved.

Try this for the first issue, JRT Studio: Samsung Galaxy S3 Support for USB Mac Syncing

There is an APP on the market you will want for your phone too.

What a bummer!!!!! I decided to call Samsung support and these features I'm wanting doesn't exist on the SG3.

This phone is great for someone new to the smartphone world, but for someone like me who's been with the iPhone for 4 years, there's just too many obstacles to overcome, so I'm going to get the iPhone 5 tomorrow.

I appreciate all of you that helped with all of my questions.

1. You need Kies on your Macbook Air, the use that to update drivers. Not sure how it is with Macs, but on Windows Android devices like a Galaxy SIII would just plug and play. They'd show up under "Devices" and can be treated like any other flash drive. However Apple and Android is at war, so...I dunno.

2. Have you tried S Voice? You can also use Jeannie for this.

3. Provided that you have indeed enabled "genre" in the Music app settings (it is disabled by default, so it won't show up no matter what you use to sync), it could be a simple case of incompatible tags. You either get a different music player off the Play Store, or retag your music.
