Help ASUS Sync with JB

So ive updated to JellyBean. Used the Unlock Tool, installed TWiRP.
Have done a nandroid backup, successfully (CWM wouldnt work :()

So, PC SUITE is on my pc, i load that, then i goto my tablet, it sees its connected as a media device. The taskbar icon, has a green check.

The PC SUITE, says connected, and shows the devices name.

But,
the contacts/calendar are greyed out. when i goto contacts on the left side, it says sync using, i choose the drop down menu, but its empty.

Yes, i do sync with google. this is a feature im trying to work out, as most others i know, dont use gmail or outlook...

the OS is JellyBean 4.1.1
UNROOTED
but its UNLOCKED
Recovery Partition: YES (TWiRP)

windows:
windows 7
x86
Running windows as Administrator ONLY, UAV is OFF
so are antivirus,firewalls..etc

ANDROID SDK TOOLS are installed,
DRIVERS are good and recognize the tablet.

any thoughts?

AFAIK Asus Sync only syncs with Outlook. It is the only software mentioned in the Manual. Do you use that on your PC?

Having said that I have real problems with Sync anyway. It synced my Outlook contacts but kept refusing to sync my Outlook diary. I am now using Google diary which can sync to Outlook and my devices seamlessly.

uh,you RTFM!
I have.

THIS is linux android not some crappy POS windows. dont use microsoft sh!t
i just wanted it to sync with its own db on my computer,

And I gave you the answer to your original question. The manual tells you it will only sync with Outlook. I don't know what the db you are referring to is but Asus Sync won't sync with it.

As I said before even when I had Outlook it wouldn't sync properly with it, so you are not missing much. If you just want to sync files across then you could try an app called SyncMe. It will sync via USB or wifi and it says it will work with Linux.

I was looking for something to sync with my PC (yes, I gathered you're on Linux) wirellessly for a long time and one guy on here mentioned an app that does just that. I've purchased it, it is relativley cheap for all features to be available (i can't remember but it's only a couple of $) and definately worth it. It works with Windows, Linux (Samba), etc. and only requires a shared folder(s) to be accessible on the PC. You can sync one (to or from PC) or both ways. This can be intiated manually or on a schedule and the whole app is very quickly and easily figured out; nothing complicated.

It is available from PlayStore and is called SyncMe - here is the link https://play.google.com/store/search?q=syncme+wireless.
I can highly recommend it, provided you don't mind not using USB and you have a reasonably fast Wifi connection. I have synced TWRP Nand backups with no problems, music, and other backup data. ;)

That was me I suspect - see here

You can use USB as well as wifi to sync with SyncMe.

IMHO a good product. I have used it to get all my data files from the PC to the MicroSD card. Took a couple of hours (a lot of GB) but it now regularly updates very quickly.
