Root Annoying issues with ICS.. What 905 Roms should I look at?

I ran ICS for about 3 weeks (232) and LOVED it.. Really woke this phone up.

BUT, my bluetooth wouldnt stay connected. And i NEED it for work.

So, i went back to 905. Bluetooth problems solved, but back to a horrible OS.

So are there any "like-ICS" roms I can run on 905? I just did a backup, so i'm ready to flash.

Also, how do I verify if I am strapped? I cant remember if i ever did this so i assume i am not.

Just out of curiosity, what ICS leak were you running, because I have had no problems with Bluetooth in my car or using my Bluetooth headphones? I am currently running .244, but previously had .238 with no Bluetooth problems.

:hmmmm2:

Never had an issue in my time using Eclipse. Loved that ROM. Nothing in that video review I linked you to would point to it being "ultra buggy" either. I specifically showed you the video rather than just posting a link so you could see it in action first. Are you familiar with knowing what to wipe on the phone when you flash a new ROM? That can cause plenty of problems.

Unfortunately as far as GB goes, Eclipse was one of the few well known GB ROMs to even get an update in fairly recent history. There were a few others like Liberty ROM and Kin3tx, but I don't think those have been updated in a long time. If you can even still find active download links for those, you can try those instead.

Not every user also uses the phone in the same way. it's entirely possible that it is buggy only in the situations that he is trying to use the phone in the way he is trying to use it.

Remember, at least one other person said that BT worked perfectly fine in .232 whereas he said it worked great until one day when it just cut out. it could turn out that his phone is having hardware problems - in which case just about anything he runs will seem buggy to him - but until he figures out that it is the phone he's going to blame the newest change he experienced, which in this case was trying a ROM he had never used before.

@OP: You cannot judge a ROM in the first day or so in action on these phones, particularly if you have more than 20 apps downloaded. It takes time. Also, did you wipe your data completely when reverting from .232 to .905?

Guys, by buggy, it was buggy right from installation.

Setup apk kept FC'ing, then when i finally got through that, status bar kept FC'ing..

Then i couldn't answer or make phone calls, text messages wouldn't come through..

Before installation, i wiped cache and system 3 times each. After the issues i mention above, i redownloaded the rom, and reflashed. Same problems. Source of the rom was Eclipse's website. And yes, I always wipe 3 times before doing anything. That includes rsding back to 905

Therefore, i gave up.
