Automatically connect to Bluetooth when in car?

I don't have Bluetooth in my car and am thinking of buying an aftermarket Viseeo 1000 which I understand I can plug in to the connector originally meant for a phone which will add Bluetooth capability to the entertainment unit and allow me to take calls on the move.

My question is can I use Tasker to connect automatically via Bluetooth when in the car? I'm thinking that it would not be a good idea to leave bluetooth on my Galaxy Note permanently as I already have a daily struggle with the battery. So would there be a way to use Tasker to check whether I am in the car and then turn Bluetooth on?

If not, can anyone suggest an altnative please?

Looking in to this, I have tried leaving Bluetooth on all day today to see what would happen to the battery. It hasn't actually been connected to any other BT device, just switched on so that it would be available. Checking on Menu>Battery BT isn't showing at all so does that mean I could leave it switched on and would it then connect automatically as I described in the above post?

I'd like to know that too? Just to make clear what I'm trying to do - I'm not looking to plug in to power my Note when in the car unless on long journeys, just to have it connect through the Viseeo gadget to the car so that if I get a phone call I can answer it. So I would be looking to leave the phone in my bag and have it connect automatically using Tasker and disconnect when I get out of the car. Is this possible or am I asking too much?

I never use BlueTooth but am curious how it works. Does the phone automatically connect to a paired device when it sees it or do you have to manually connect? Does Net> BlueTooth Connected> Invert detect when you move out of range?

It automatically connects to the device. When you are no longer connected, the profile is deactivated.

No, inverted means that the particular profile you've set up is active whenever you are not connected to your device.
