When will Samsung give us an official Note 2 release date

I'm just wondering when they are going to let us know for sure. My interest in particular being the UK release.

What's the pattern with Samsung with these things? they've announced the month but when can we officially order it. I know they said October, but is that worldwide simultaneous? Europe first? October pre orders then phones much later? Physically in the stores in October?

There must be some people floating around the forums here who know some leaked official release dates or something I am aware I'm being impatient, it's coming. I just need to know when, it's only mid September and the anticipation is getting frustrating.:banghead:

Is it true there is going to be a LTE version released later on also.

Forgive any naive questions, new to Android/Samsung. Thank you.

Only piece of news I've seen this this rumor:
Samsung Galaxy Note 2 headed to AT&T on October 21st?
That's for the States, so I'd "assume" the international/UK variant would be sometime sooner. Trust me, I feel like I'm banging my head a little too.

I was in an ATT store yesterday and an employee told me that ATT originally stated October, but now for some reason it has been moved to November. I don't know if he is right or not, but I'm hoping for October over November.

So strange because the blogs and write-ups have all been interpreting Samsung's statement completely wrong, IMO. The website clearly states:

Optimized for the fastest 4G LTE* and HSPA+ 42 networks, the Galaxy Note II will be available through AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless and U.S. Cellular by mid-November.

"by mid-November" is much different than "on or around mid-November." My interpretation of this is, all of the carriers will have the Note 2 available by the time mid-November comes around. Of course, that could mean anytime from now until then, but nothing in that statement makes me believe that the release isn't happening until mid-November. At least, not for all the US carriers.

Some positive news for the non UK lot is that over here the Samsung release date was mid October, it was moved to the earlier date of the 1st of October so maybe the US date will jump forward a little too. If that's repeated in the U.S. hopefully you lot get it soon.

So, I wonder if the optimus g releases sometime within the next 2 weeks for sprint and att. It'll give the optimus g the 1 month selling time before the note 2 gets released domestically in the US, if 1st week of November is targeted for the note 2.

Verizon seems like they went with the lg optimus 4x hd as the spectrum 2, so I doubt they get the optimus g.
