Root 4EXT Recovery and USB

Ok, I know this has to be a simple question, but cannot figure it out for the life of me.

I am using 4EXT Recovery Touch (think it's 2.4.1 or something like that) and when I boot into recovery I can't seem to get USB storage to work. I want to format everything, even the SDCard, but I cannot do that if I can't transfer a ROM to the card afterwards.

Any clue what I am doing wrong here?

Thanks

well... what are you doing, exactly and what is happening when you do it?

prolly first thing i would do is put the card in a usb adapter and format it on the PC,using the full format option,to FAT32. make sure you can transfer files to and from it this way, then put it back in the phone and try again to enable usb storage in recovery :)

My phone was acting weird and I just wanted to start completely clean. All I did was boot into recovery, format my card, boot back up, transfer the ROM to the card then back into recovery. Wiped everything else then install. So far so good. Phone is acting good now.
