Thank you for the reply, unlocking the bootloader won't affect the DRM it will just make the developer community be able to flash a custom recovery onto the phone so we can ROM and Theme the phone, and make it more customizable for the end user...which is one of the selling points for Android phones, being able to customize them however you want.

i just went and did that precise thing

so, i personally think that us bombarding them with polite requests into the progress of the bootloader unlocker is going to get something done...

it will still take some time, but they will get tired of the e-mails and finally give in eventually.



basically i want CM9 or AOKP on this phone and i will keep sending e-mails until that is possible

I hope they release the unlock bootloader soon..
I want to try CM(any) again.

I have sent e-mails to them asking for the bootloader tool but they keep answering the same shit

I got a reply saying "LG does not provide the boot loaded unlock tool."

I did a live chat with lg and they said that they did not make the software they just made the phone and that metropcs sends them everything that they want onto the phone etc... But then I live chatted metropcs and they say that lg does everything. Just give us the freakin boot loader!!!!!

Try the esteem, has some good dev support with ROMs and themes out.check out their forums

I just reactivated my Esteem untill a recovery comes out for the Motion. It is automatedly done through dialing #228 from Esteem while the Motion is off.
