Root Will removing Youtube apk mess anything else up?

I dont use youtube and really dont ever plan on it and it is always running in the background. Was wondering if any of you dev's tested removing it and if so, what got messed up. I know what you are going to say, test and find out, which I will, but just wanted to post first if anyone else has done this or not.

and totally sep, but didnt want to start a new thread, what is HTC checkin service. Is that the service checking for OTA? If so, dont I want to remove that?
