Root [TUT] Install CWM on Micromax funbook pro p500

Hello guys I recently tried many recovery.img on Funbook pro and bricked it! but finally found 1 working CWM of Micromax funbook p300 that works on our tab too..!!

Things Required -

1. Data Connection on your Tablet. (via WIFI)
2. An archieve supported file manager. Eg ES File Explorer.
3. A Usable and working mind.

Steps -

1. Download the file from the link below. ( PLEASE READ BELOW BEFORE FLASHING)
2. Extract the file to the root of your "internal sd card" and you will get 2 file First "Novotools_v1.0" and the Second "recovery.img".
3. Install the app Novotools_v1.0.
4. Run Novotools and you will see and option Flash Recovery
5. Click it and the recovey will be flashed onto your phone.
6. Reboot in recovery with the help of the application.
7. Now you have fully functional CWM recovery. ( PLEASE READ BELOW BEFORE FLASHING )

BUT WAIT ARE U STUCK ON MMX LOGO? MAKE SURE YOU DOWNLOAD THE STOCK BACKUP GIVEN BELOW PLACE IT YOUR SD CARD BEFORE FLASHING CWM UNDER external sd card ie; ext sd clockworkmod\backup\

1) AFTER INSTALLING RECOVERY
2) DO A RESTORE OF THE GIVEN BACKUP

Hi Gautam,

I did the procedure mentioned,. After Flashing Recovery i Stuck on Micromax Logo, Cant Do anything. Totally Stuck.

I also Followed the mentioned, Downloaded the stock ROM and Recovery
Placed the Recowery in External SD Card clockworkmod\backup\
And Restarted, Nothing Happened.

Please suggest, I am stuck
Dont want to go to the Service Centre, Im sure u must be having the best solution :)

Exactly what you said, happened to me too... Followed instructions to the word on my mmx P500, and got stuck on reboot.

Were you able to find a solution for it? Please do let us know, as there is no follow up thread on your last note...

I believe there are threads around recovering bricked device, but they are very painful and seem to point to the above procedures for installing CWM, which i think is a DUD.

PS- Btw Gautam, if u are stuck on mmx logo, then you possibly cant restore from sd card.
