Best Android phone as of now?

You'll get dozens of different answers, because "best" is a vague request. To one individual, "best" might mean fastest, most brilliant, highest-definition display. To another, "best" might mean most robust and reliable, with longest battery life. And so-on.

Jim

Jim, yup that's what I like in my "best" phone. Add dual-SIM as well, as that saves me having to carry two phones around when I travel. Plus I expect a phone to last 2-3 years, so it should be robust.

A phone might have the best, brilliant, highest definition screen in the world, but it's no use to me if the battery is dead, and no way to recharge it.

I always tend to suggest that people try to get some hands on time with a phone... if you have a couple in mind, get down to a mobile phone shop... you may find that you don't like how a phone feels in your hand. When I got my DHD (March last year), my wife also got an SGS... I thought her phone felt too light/plasticy (actually thought it felt a bit like a toy).

It seems like depending on who you ask, it goes back and forth between the S3 and one One X. I won't say more than that because obviously I am biased :p

I would agree with that but since I'm on Sprint, I think the HTC EVO 4G LTE is better. To me it's a step up on the One X.

I'll answer in this way... :)

If you own an android device and it suits all of your needs?

The best one is the one YOU own. :D

It's fun to window shop and keep in the loop what's going on there, just don't fall for marketing hype.

Always buy what suits you, meaning, you have specific features or needs even if the phone is not a flagship phone that costs a gozillian dollars! lol :)

Don't buy a corvette if you don't plan on driving over 55 mph. :)

Note 2 is shipping internationally now. That's where I would stand as the best right now.
Still deciding if it's worth the upgrade from my GNex.

Why does Samsung have to make it though!

The note 2 looks awesome. I'll be nowhere near time to upgrade but I like it alot, but I'm not a huge Samsung fan.

I'm waiting for the next evo :D
