I have been in about 25-30 stores in Orange County, and I have noticed that I have literally never seen an employee that was not Mexican/Hispanic.

What gives? I realize So Cal has a large Hispanic population, but you would think that visiting as many stores as I have, as many times as I have I would have encountered at least ONE employee that was not Hispanic.

For the record, I have no problem with Hispanic people or anything against them. :)

Maybe because they actually applied for the job, and they are most likely bilingual and dont need a translator to help out spanish speaking customers since there is a lot of hispanics here in cali. Me included.:D

Are they Metro corporate stores or Authorized dealers? If its the latter, its up to the franchisee to hire and fire who he wants. Im kinda screwed when Spanish people come into my store, I don't speak any spanish lol.

Correction, we speak Spanish but are not specifically Spanish people, some of us are descended from the natives of Mexico and were brought up speaking Spanish. For example, my uncle speaks Spanish and English but his native language is Zapotec (just making sure people get the facts straight). Here in L.A. the majority of dealers are Latino but there are some Asian dealers her too.

Also not all Hispanics are Mexican, that's like saying all Asians are Chinese.

1+ we have latinos from many different countries I'm sure people know this by now

I'm just letting Rox know because he mentioned them as "Mexican/Hispanic" as if saying they're the same thing. Hispanic is a race, being Mexican is a nationality. Although idk why race should even matter in terms of hiring people.

im sure we all know that and we should all be smart enough to get his reference. no need to get nitpicky and uptight.

While the race/nationality discussion can be interesting and educational if handled in a reasonable and civil manner, that is a topic more suited for the Politics and Current Affairs forum. The OP's comment was directly relating to Metro PCS and has been addressed sufficiently, so I'm going to close this thread before it goes farther afield.

You are more than welcome to pick up the discussion in PC&A.

PM me if you'd like the thread reopened to discuss Metro PCS. :)
