this is not another thread discussing the merger. its a thread discussing what us metroPCS customers are gonna do due to the merger.

as i've said, im sticking around and waiting for this thing to happen and if they dont take my rate plan away from me i'll reap the benefits of better coverage, faster speeds, and better phone selection through metro hooking up with tmobile.

what say you...

Well i was gonna get an unlocked nexus on tmobile for 30 bucks a month.
But i just got a sweeter deal,:what::thinking::eek:
My gf is getting me the gnex on sprint while shes getting the s2 and shes paying the bill lol.:):D:beer:
So ill just save my money than sell the motion , esteem, gnex whenever something waaaaaay better comes out and get that.
Most likely next years nexus.;)

Still gathering info. Being that I've got a whole month I've already paid for I'm in no hurry to switch. If in fact the metro s3 can be unlocked, I'll stay. But that's the only way. I want the option to be able to take my metro s3 and jump ship once it starts sinking and take it else where and throw a Sim in it and keep on moving.

Dont think you can do that.

Would anyone please explain to me why is no good to buy the metro PC's GS3 ?

The one good thing about metros high ass phone prices is they retain their value very well. As long as the sell price stays high from metro, you can sell high. Depending on what happens when the merge fully completes, you might have a cdma s3 that can't be unlocked and could only be flashed to another network. If people know this then getting any return on your phone might prove difficult.

Once again it depends on what happens when the smoke clears. Yes, no one uses the same phone for 2 years but I'm sure most, like myself, sell their metro phone and can still get a good return on it because the buyer can take it and sign up to metro with it. A cdma phone with no cdma obviously can't be signed on to metro.

Now, t mobile could offer a buy back program when that time comes and offer you a set amount towards a t mobile phone. This is possible.

Once again, we won't know those details until it's all complete. My information was gathered from talking with t mobile and metro pcs employees yesterday. All of them, let me repeat, ALL of them said the best decision would be to wait to purchase the metro s3 to make sure you won't have a cdma device that won't work.

Who knows. This sprint thing just throws another wrench into the mix.

Shmansies pansies!
I'm getting my S3 and I'm sinking down with this ship, argh!

It makes sense to me for now, and i heard it might be that ALL US S3s are interchangeable on all the networks, with a service provider ota, and that Qualcomm says they all have the exact same radio combinations.. Yeah.... even I think that sounds fishy... However, i love metroPCS too much to jump ship right now (even if Roger Lindquist seems to have fallen out of love with us)

I do agree. I've been with metro forever and they have never done me wrong. Unlike straight talk and simple who hide the details from you until you f up and they cancel your ish.

Metro is by far the best pre paid no contact carrier.
