NO itunes like software?

I just can't believe no one in the android world could not figure out how to create software for our phones that work exactly like iTunes does with the iPhone. How do you update your phone without Keis? maybe I am missing something. Does google play use playlists fro iTunes? I can't get podcasts to start where I stopped listening. It goes back to the beginning. Also can't tell which ones I listened too in Keis. Thanks. Other than that I LOVE this phone.

Also, if you're set on sticking with iTunes *shudder*, the Google Play Music desktop manager will sync your iTunes music and playlists to your google account, and they'll be available on your device (and you can mark specific playlist and songs for offline use too).

why anyone would want software that works exactly like itunes I don't know, however there are a bunch of programs that will manage your music collection:

Media Monkey
Winamp
Doubletwist

And others...
Those work great as long as you don't try to sync playlists. For some reason that screws up the tagging. You can drag and drop them though.

Why would anyone want software that will make you wait 20 mins to sycn and 20 mins to add or delete one song?

True which is why I probably wouldn't notice because once I get the songs I want on there, I rarely add or subtract. I like the old stuff and obviously "new" old stuff doesn't come out (usually). :p Guess that's why I am perfectly happy getting my music from Amazon. I only buy maybe a song or two at a time and this way it'll all be available to me if I switch phones to say nothing of unlimited cloud storage.

I don't really care about iTunes one way or the other, but I was curious what people found so terrible about it? Just another music application to me but then I'm not a big music junkie. Anything that plays it is fine

It's terribly bloated, and runs like poo on windows ;)

I also hate how if you lose your music for one reason or another without a backup, they basically tell you too bad

I've just moved over from 5 years of iphones and am heavily invested with itunes for music organization... I still plan to use itunes to control music as I have 4 other apples devices that I like to sync music with.

Itunes is 100X better than Kies, which is super slow and very glitchy.

Check out "isyncr" to export music and playlists to your sg3, and their associated music player "rocket player" to play them... much better than the stock app, shows controls on the lock screen, and the paid version allows you to MODIFY playlists on your sg3 and reverse sync BACK INTO itunes.

Next up for me is configure everything wirelessly.

I'm very happy with isyncr. I didn't know their player showed on the lock screen - will need to check that out.

ITunes is terrible.

No thank you :)

Have you ever used it? I doubt it. It organizes your music well. Smart playlists work great. It can tell when I've listened to a podcast and starts them up where I left off instead of at the beginning again like the music player on my GS3. You just check and un-check music when you want to add or remove from your device. Keis can't do any of this. So to say "iTunes is terrible" makes you sound as ridiculous as those apple fan boys you see in the Samsung commercials. Thanks for your help.

LOL. I've used it. It sucks. Unfortunately only way to get stuff on my iPod... using it was certainly not a choice, and if a better one were avail. I would certainly have used it.

If you want a real podcast player, look to the Beyondpod app. I was using iTunes when it first came out and all music on there was DRM protected and I was on my white plastic Macbook and the 2nd gen ipod. I stopped using itunes when I jailbroke my iPhone 3gs and was able to transfer files without going through the itunes music tab. I still used itunes for backups and restored until icloud took over.

all that said, itunes is a terrible program. It is probably the biggest hook Apple has to keep people from straying from the flock. Apple TV, iPad, iPhone and your Mac are all integrated, yet if you want to use a pc, And4oid or Windows phone with it, you run into problems af5er problem. I hate itunes.

Yes I have. I addressed this in a prior post. ITunes is terribly bloated and runs very slow. They also screw you if you lose your music

I don't use Samsung anything, so I don't get to be bothered by kies either....
