I imagine it will have the same one just announced on the HTC One X+... This is probably the first phone to give me out and out phone envy. Although after experiencing Moto's new Blur, the RAZR MAXX HD doesn't look too bad either. I love Christmas time on Verizon (When I have an upgrade available that is)

So if they did everything possible to make it super thin, why it is only .5mm thinner than the Droid RAZR MAXX HD? This phone will be longer and wider, it has more area for a bigger battery, and yet even if they builtin a 3300mah battery like the moto phones, it would likely come in at 12mm+. It is very clear that HTC can't make phones thin with big batteries, which is why they don't even attempt it.

Also the Galaxy S3 is thinner than this phone, and has a bigger battery, micro sd card slot, and removable battery. So I don't think HTC has much of an excuse except that they have a real lack of skill or patents or something that would allow them to design a thinner phone.

Most SoC manufacturers do not put LTE on their SoC's. I dont believe samsung has one, NVIDIA just released their first Tegra with LTE SoC recently. Qualcomm has been the standard LTE SoC for verizon and AT&T. This phone is going to have the new Qualcomm Snapdragon S4, which like Qualcomms other chips, is an LTE capable SoC.

I still have the Incredible 1 and have been waiting for a worthy upgrade for several months. Its been coming down to HTC Win8 or this. So far it looks like I'll get this phone as there isn't a lot of Win8 apps yet.

Anyone afraid this phone will be overhyped on specs and end up being a disappointment? We know the J Butterfly exists, it is confirmed, and we assume this phone is the same specs for the most part. However we don't know for sure if it even has a 5" screen or 1080p, and the 2500mah battery seems to be pure speculation as well.

I'd love it if this phone turns out to be as we all dream

However, the J butterfly is already 9.1mm thick, HTC would easily have to make an 11mm or thicker phone to hit 2500 mah. Some speculate they could drop the microsd slot to help.

The only thing I am certain of is that IF the phone has a 1080p screen, it has to be SLCD3, some report SLCD2 and 1080p, but the SLCD3 tech by Sharp is where we get the ability to make a 441ppi screen. It could be a 4.7" phone or 4.5" though, it could only have One X specs inside, or have a 720p SLCD2 screen. We don't know any of this for sure or not. All we know is HTC is bringing a phone to Verizon, currently named the Droid DNA in Verizon's system, and this phone is going to be $199.99 which implies 16GB of storage built in, or less.

UPDATE: Forgot this phone came into confirmed existence with the GLbenchmark results that showed it having the S4 pro and a 1080p display. If it is 1080p then it is definitely SLCD3 at 5", and definitely S4 pro. 2GB of ram is plenty reasonable based on the J butterfly as well. I guess the only real uncertainty on this phone is the microsd card slot and the battery capacity.

Ever since the nexus 4 came out, I've been drooling over it :-D. But then I read that it will not support lte :-(. I have an HTC droid incredible 2,but never got updated to anything so I was like the hell with HTC. So I decided that when my December upgrade comes, I would get the next best thing to vanilla android, the droid razr maxx hd. But now that this phone has been leaked, I am willing to stick with HTC and their cruddy updates over outdated hardware on the razr maxx hd. B-)

Any chance they will roll out a Sprint version of this phone. I still have the original Incredible on VZ but I can not justify switching to there new data plan. This is the perfect phone for HTC to roll out across all platforms if the want to bring there name back to relevance.

I am in a similar boat, only with a ThunderBolt instead of a DINC... I would be jumping the android ship if the HTC 8X had voice guided navigation, but since it does not, I am looking hard at the DLX/DNA

Wow, I give you folks still rocking a T-Bolt a ton of kudos for your stick-to-itiveness. Not to say it was a horrible device, but the battery life was the worse.

I'll echo the sentiments of others about hoping for a decent battery in the Droid DNA. Imagine those specs with HTC's camera AND a killer battery. Nirvana.
