Post your custom rig

I don't have any pics, but have been custom building computers for a few years now, my set up right now is:

Case: Black NZXT Phantom (Full Tower)
CPU: i5 2500K @ 4.0 GHz (O.C. stock voltage)
RAM: 4 x 2GB of 1333 Ballistix
HardDrives: 2 x 250GB Seagate & 2 x 500GB Seagate (standard speeds)
GPU: 2 x AMD Radeon 5770's @ 900 MHz (O.C.) (CrossFire)
PS: 1000W Rosewill Bronze Certified
Monitor: 27" Samsung LED

Lots and lots of fans, the airflow in this case is amazing, all the fans are stock NZXT fans, they make pretty decent fans, except the side fan, with the CM Hyper212 the side fan wouldn't fit so i had to do some modding to a 200MM Rosewill fan to get it to fit there.

Looking to upgrade GPU's soon, but just waiting it out, maybe ill put some pics of my battlestation up later.

Might i add, once you go 27" monitor, you never go back :)

I just bought the i5-3570k also and put it on an Asrock z77 Pro-4M mobo. Did you buy an aftermarket cooler or are you using stock? Good idle temps are right at 30c in my opinion not more but obviously less is ok.

30 Degrees?

I'm in England ,UK , where room temp is around 21 C , and my CPU is always under 40 C ( havent tried multitasking/gaming yet ) Saying that here , seems quite normal , but I dont know if its a bit high?

What speeds should my fans be at ? CM Storm Enforcer

What heatsink are you using? stock?

I have a CoolerMaster Hyper212 Plus and my 2500K O.C. at 4.0 GHz runs around 27C

Yes , stock heatsink.

By tuning the CPu fan to "Turbo" and the front one to "standard" , Im getting below 35 degrees and 27 for the CPU and Mobo respectively.

I see a small metal Asus square thing on my mobo , towards the right hand side. ANy idea what this is ?

Also , would my Intel Intergrated Graphics benefit from my motherboard's GPU boost function?

I would go with the Coolermaster Hyper 212+ to cool your 3570k like i did with mine they shouldn't have even supplied a cooler at all. I believe that square you are talking about is your chipset heatsink.

Alright , cheers, Wondered why it was so warm!
I wouldn't mind getting the CPU heatsink , but mine is ok ( for now ) , and I'm gonna need to spend money on my monitor , keyboard/mouse, GPU , and maybe a webcam and speakers.

Plus the Hyper 212+ isnt very expensive, like 30 dollars.

Newegg.com - COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 "Heatpipe Direct Contact" Long Life Sleeve 120mm CPU Cooler Compatible with Intel 1366/1155/775 and AMD FM1/FM2/AM3+

Can't really go wrong with it :D

Have you monitored your temps under load yet? Like prime 95 blend test?

I did the first test , on 4 'workers'.

Temps didn't exceed 50 C.

Also, has anyone used the Intel Inside Logo label thing you get with the i5? Not sure whether keeping that would be good for when I sell it... and / or if having on my case would make it look stupid ;)
