That is great to know!
I have been finding posts that are 6 to 9 months old that are linking dead links. For all phones, not just the Bionic. These links should not be going anywhere for a while.

Thank you very much for hosting these files! I used the 902 FXZ file to repair a bricked Bionic and then used an OTA upgrade to flash it to 905...

You are welcome. The Bionic scene is very quiet right now. Not sure if that will change or if it will go the way of the Droid X....

which of these would a person be on if they never had rooted their phone and installed leaks and roms and what-not? I'm assuming 904 and 905 are not official updates since they are labeled "leaked" in this thread, so I'm assuming everybody is on 902 who hasn't rooted? Will I need to be on 902 in order to receive any future OTA updates like when/if ICS ever comes out?

.905 is the latest official version and what you must be on to get ICS pushed OTA when it comes out.

It says to flash it in stock recovery, but that won't work if I'm on .232 will it? Won't I have to use RSD Lite?

it's telling me to check my input file. either XML format is wrong or image files associated with it are missing.

I did follow that thread. in fact the last time I did this I think you helped me out.

This is a very simple process, and I've done it a hundred times before (had to SBF my friends Droid a lot) It just doesn't seem to want to work. keeps giving me that error message.

it's working now. I was apparently using the wrong 905 file. I'm using the modified one now.

I'm resurrecting this thread b/c it has all of the old FXZ files, and I'm adding my link for the latest (ICS) FXZ.

NOTE: If you use the 6.7.246 FXZ you're permanently on ICS - there is no going back to GB from ICS. The security in the CDT.bin file has changed, so once you install it it's stuck on there, you can only move forward.

So i have a factory Bionic, it was on GBbuild. 905.
I tried flashing to ICS and got an error on i believe 19/22.
I think i got in over my head, anyone wanna give a noob step by step how to use these and what one to use?
I have a backup phone so its not urgent, but still id like to salvage my expensive paper weight lol.

Which file did you try and flash?

Did you get an error or did it hang up.

I tried flashing to ICS, i didnt get the downloads from these links. Im not around a computer to try them, but i tried a version of ics, i forget the exact build, and then tried going tried going back to the. 905 which stoped at somthing like step 6 " cdt" Im not sure if thats exactly what i got

Ok use the 6.7.246 from my thread I know it is good. Once you go to ics you cannot go back to gb thats why you got the cdt failure.

Is your battery charged? What was it at when you started this process? Do you have another battery or some other way to charge your battery besides your phone.

you can do the manual method instead of using rsdlite because rsdlite can be fussy.

download this file and unzip. moto-fastboot

unzip your6.7.246 fxz file (the one you downloaded from my thread) to the same location as moto-fastboot

I believe your phone is in fastboot already if not press and hold the volume down and power button at the same time on the phone. The fastboot menu will appear. plug your phone into your computer.

navigate in windows to the location you have everything unzipped to. click on the file symbol in the top left corner and when the bar becomes highlighted type cmd and enter if you have win 7. A comand prompt will come up. If not go to start and type cmd and hit enter. when the prompt comes up type cd c:\location of file with moto-fastboot and fxz file unziped

type and hit enter after each step

you should be on 6.7.246
all your data except on your sd-ext will be erased.

You may wish to put in instructions how someone can use the cdt.bin file from the 246 FXZ to replace the one in 22 thus allowing someone who has not upgraded OTA to be able to downgrade to ICS again thus allowing them to regain root in case they lose it in JB.
