U.K
hi peeps. coming from iphone4 now got the S3. on my old phone in the calendar you could set an event to repeat every 2 weeks, which was great for mapping my whole year of shifts and having my kids every other weekend, but on my s3 it gives every possible combination except every 2 weeks.....:mad:
is there a calendar ap out there that does this??
cheers guys and gals..

I use "Business Calendar" and have yet to find anything I need that it can't do, or any reason to criticise it. It can certainly deal with the "once every two weeks" scenario, as well as more complicated combinations, including things like "repeat x times". For me, the best feature is the scrollable agenda view widget, which I have given one of my home screens over to. I use the paid version now, but here is a link to the free ad-supported one:

Hi

It would seem that there are variations re the calendar. I don't have a 2-weekly option either.

I presume it may be because of different network, or slight differences in the phone depending on country, or something? I'm in UK, on T-Mobile network, if that is of any consequence.

Here is a screenshot of my options, which are possibly like the OP's

In Business Calendar, you select the weekly repeat (there's a message at the top of this screen which says "Hint: Select Rule for Details"). This will bring up a set of options including:

* Every x weeks (defaults to 1)

* Choose the day of the week for the repeat (defaults to the day you've set for the event)

* Optional end date

* Optional x number of events

At the bottom of this screen it gives a simple text summary of what you've selected, just to confirm it's what you wanted.

I can see that having two steps is less intuitive than just having one, but it allows for complex conditions and is something I have found very useful.
