From eagles post earlier

#2

we will update but didn't want to hold up this release.

updating and testing would of delayed another week or more.

we will release 4.1.2 as a test build in the near future.

other than 1 touch close or open on pull-down bar for expansion i don't believe there is anything you'd see different.

I am not saying this has everything that is in 4.1.2 but i would find it hard for you to notice.

remember 4.1.2 has everything up to R_6 than probably an r_7 .
we have everything up to r6 so there just isnt a whole lot missing.
but to merge it and fix conflicts and test it takes time.

We thank everyone for using JBSourcery and hope you will enjoy 2.4

Is there any plan - or even ability - to backup JBSourcery system settings? It'd be great to have ringtones, notification sounds, soft key and battery mod options, etc. saved to we can automatically resotre them.

No doubt it has been suggested and I missed it, but is it even possible without messing up a whole lot of other stuff?

what restore option does the team suggest? im using titanium <snip>

Somewhere in Sourcery Tools they offer the option of installing Titanium, but say that they don't believe in using it as it might cause problems. I use MyBackupPro, though tried TiBu way back in the OG Droid days and found that MBP is much better for backing up my apps less data and use it to backup and restore data elements like those bolded below and . . . .:

SMS/MMS
Call Log
<snip>
Wi-fi Settings

After restoring those, you need to reboot so they "set in".

In addition with MBP, I backup and restore bookmarks and dictionary. Real quick, the Wi-Fi settings The_Chief mentions above are always restored via your google sign-in, so no other app is needed to backup nor restore those items.

So, in summary using MBP, before I do a clean flash, I backup all my apps and in data, Call Logs, SMS, MMS, Bookmarks, and Dictionary. Once I've done a clean flash, I go to Google Play, re-install MBP (you _might_ be able to use MyBackupRoot, I had already paid), then restore most if not all my apps, reboot. Then as I get more comfortable, I go and use MBP to restore data (and I just check all the above) and have never, ever, ever had any problems using this method for a long time.

good luck

Great work, but for 3 little things. Trying to change the Battery to the digital battery (green) but stays on conjuring battery mod for over an hour...on 4G! Next the Lock Circle mod never populates the list, just hangs on loading. Left it for 30 minutes..also on 4 bars of 4G. and last how do I change the inverted messaging back to normal? Not a fan of inverted anything.
I restored back to 2.3 for now & everything looks as I like it. Maybe I will have to wait until the next full release...?
