Well im 40 and just a simple bus driver, i came over from the galaxy s1, before that nokia n95. i love the bigger screen tbh, and after still loving the s1 i thought wot the hell, bigger is better. havent looked back since last week. Its funny though, after seeing people withe the note 1 at work i wondered if id made a mistake bout the size element.... Now a week later, it just feels normal :D:D:D

Funny to see this poll.
What could be interesting too, is how it would look if you split it up by profession.
Think there would be majority in some specific areas?

Also from which phone people are comming from would be interesting; why change to the Note 2? What is the most important specs it has compared to others?

For me age doesn't say that much. It depends on your background, economics, profession etc.
Sounds like a dating service. lol ok, I'll bite.
49 until April :)
In the healthcare Field working on database programming and Excel data mining.
Hispanic, married, In NYC. :p

Have the current Note 1, getting the Note 2 (hopefully the 32 or higher version)

As for why I'm going for the Note 2, oh please. It makes the Note 1 look like an old Windows Pro phone from eons ago, stylus and all. This new one runs circles around it and basically almost any other device currently on the market now. (Give or take a few minor things). it might not be for everyone, but for me, I know it will be the 99% perfect phone.

Biting here, too.

45.5 (I didn't feel right voting in the 35-45 group, should have voted in the 46 age group.. lol) Coming from the OG Evo and a history of other HTC touch screen phones; it's going to be a tough switch for me because of the screen, but the salvation was non-pentile. I still think it's too saturated, but it looks like it's much better than the GS3 and other pentiles. Hopefully I can take it when I hold one in my hand and not backtrack on my justification.

My main reason is the size, not only for reading and browsing, but for texting and emailing, and being able to use forums without my dinky 4.3" screen!! I am such an anal retentive soul that it pains me to see my own typos on a post, and I think those will be less of an issue with the bigger screen. I don't use my laptop anymore, and rarely use the PC; only once a year at tax season, pretty much. LOL I don't want to have to carry a a tablet, too, so this works.

I work as inside technical sales in the petrochem and industrial industry, and yes, this will come in handy for work email and calendar, etc.

And OMG, the S-Pen and multi-tasking... need I say more???

Try tapping the microphone button on your keyboard.....posting via voice is a fabulous option. The only time I have to use the keyboard is for minor corrections. Voice used to work with my BT headset now for some reason it doesn't so I use Samsungs earset.

Haven't researched the BT issue cause I'm too busy googling for GN2 news. :D

I do use it on occasion for posts but I'm usually around other folks when I'm forum'ing (?) lol. I do use it to text when I'm driving though... I either don't text at all, or I talk to air! :)

Eh, don't waste the time on the BT, you have bigger and better things coming!!! :)

Woooohoooooo! Go Note2, new BT, no need to use the old one... go Note2, you're gorgeous, you are Top Dog of all phones! Go Note2, I love you, you rock I adore you! (Sung/rapped? to the tune of the universal victory dance)

:adore: :dancing2:

I'm 50, this will be my 4th smartphone in 5 years.

First smartphone I got was the Palm Treo in 2007. Kept that for a year then got the 2nd gen iPhone 3G. I almost got an Android phone but decided against it as the iPhone was the best smartphone on the market at the time.

Kept that for 2 years and then got the 4th gen iPhone 4. Now two years later, Android devices have surpassed iPhone tech by about a year, so it makes so much more sense to switch now.

Why am I getting a GN2 instead of some other Android device? Very simple, and it has nothing to do with age or my failing eyesight (that's what prescription lenses are for). It's quite simply because of what I use the device for.

GPS, email, texting, banking, video (YouTube , Netflix etc), still camera, video camera, some word processing , browsing the net, ebooks. It's a bloody pc with a phone!! All these requirements need a bigger screen - that's why I'm getting the GN2.

LOL!! Love the new word - forum'ing! :D
Take a deep breath and put the phone down. Next you'll be spinning on your head while rapping Go Note 2. :D :D

Wasn't my intention to crash this thread with other questions, but since people are answering them here I'll give it a go myself :)

29 summers old and a student at the moment. Hopefully this December I can call myself bachelor in purchasing management - fashion. After that the big 'n' scary world awaits me :O

My smartphone life began with the iPhone 3G and after that I met Mr. Galaxy SII and the real fun began. It got exchanged with the Note last Feb. because of the bigger screen and the ability to take notes which I used in class quite much.
Now I just like it for being big enough to actually wanna read webpages and other stuff on it and not needing a tablet on the side.

As it is now I am NEVER going under 5" again! ;)

guess I might as well join the Note 2 Dating Service ;p

I'm 24, Asian, working student, single (but in a semi-complicated mutual understanding). I've never had a smartphone before; this will be my first. But I do have a kindle fire that I flashed JB on. Also have an ipod touch and an ordinary kindle.
