E-mailed HTC

I e-mailed HTC. I know it's probably a long shot, but I haven't read of anyone trying it yet.

Hi. I am looking for my first Android device and from what I've read, HTC is the way to go. I am on Verizon and the Eris doesn't quite strike me. I am hoping for a more advanced device. I am weary of the N1 for a few reasons, including the apparently very fragile screen. Do you have anymore advanced devices coming out?

Hello *****, Thank you for contacting HTC. I understand how important it is to have information on the devices you're looking for. The only devices that are running the Android Operating System are the Eris, and the NeXus One on the Verizon Service. Unfortunatly, I do not have any information as to any releases comming up for any other devices for this carrier. Any upcomming announcements will be located at HTC - Mobile Phones, Smartphones, Cell Phones, PDAs and can even be listed under each carrier on the products tab. Actually no, everyone has gotten something almost exact to that e-mail. Think about it. Why in the world would HTC reveal anything about a phone that has not been officially announced to a random person, which may put whoever was responding's job in jeopardy? (Not trying to sound like an asshole, but lets be real)

Thanks. I plan on trying until they start ignoring me or threaten harassment charges. It can't hurt. People kept going back to VZW with questions, getting the same responses until one day someone just got something different.

Anyone else notice the response said Nexus One is available for Verizon?
