Galaxy S2 in black

Been thinking of switching from my HTC Evo Design to the Galaxy S2, but no retailers or anyone at Boost Mobile will give an answer as to when the S2 will be available in black. The retailers in my area hate the white phone, as they're not selling many of them and Boost does not have any info. Anyone here know anything whether they're even going to sell it in black.

Yeah, I haven't heard anything about them releasing a black version. I guess just a white version, but we may never know.

I had to order the one I had from boost as Best Buy only had the evo design. I wanted a black one, but am happy with the white one.

Ebay is your best bet right now.
It's where I'd found my black one.

A few new black ones were released but they'd decided to use up all the old white stock from Sprint.

Thanks all. It seemed to me that they were getting rid of Sprints stock of white phones. Of course, Boost denied this. You'd think they'd have more respect for their loyal customers and the retailers that sell their products.

I have found one, other forum members found another.
I've got my original post with my box and everything.

I also did an ESN search and discovered the few black ones out there, They aren't flashed Sprint stock.
They were new to the system entirely.

$500? That's ridiculous. Also, if he's caught selling the phone at that high of a mark up, He can have his dealer license revoked.

That's why most of the dealers who got the actual black ones, listed them online.

Any way I just got online and went to OTTERBOX.COM and ordered the defender series phone case . If you plan on ordering one you will have to get the SGS2 epic touch case I think, anyway the touch is the same as the BOOST MOBILE SGS2 . The only white you will see with the defender case on your phone a little bit around the front. Looks cool . check um out.

no difference except color, and yes the SGS2 4g is the same phone as the epic touch. I too wanted a black one, but am happy with my white one.

We have to consider that the WiMAX network we are running on, Will end in 2015. I honestly think this is why we aren't seeing more 4G phones at the time.

Next year, around 3rd quarter, we're likely to see LTE. At that point I think we'll really start getting options.

They are making use of WiMAX but I don't think they want too many people to flock to it.

That's also why I think this GSII was priced so highly in the first place.

As usual, just my opinions based on my time working here.

He seems to think they might not be released. I got an otterbox defender series and it looks great. Love the phone glad i got it. I also heard boost will be able to activate sprint phones not sure when but that will be awsome...

I was told by my regional rep who works for Sprint that we won't get the black. This phone is considered end of life.

Well, They better give us the SIII if they plan to stop selling the SII. >_<

This is true they don't want many people flocking to 4g that's why this phone as old as it is came with the high price tag.They are gonna do away with 4g and move to 4g LTE.

I don't worry about it myself. I didn't get this phone for the 4g. Any serious downloading or streaming I do would be on my cable internet access. I got the phone for the nice display and the performance of it. I have also found that having a white pphine stays cooler if I have it sitting on the seat in my car on a sunny day (my prevail would get warm enough that the phone wouldn't charge the battery cause of sitting in the sun)

Mini?! One of the things I like about my SGS2 is the bigger display (coming from the prevail). I don't want a tiny phone with a tiny screen.

I agree but that what Samsung is gonna do,a much smaller SG3.To note the black and brown SG3 will come out in standard SG3 size,I think the mini comes in white.

We're definitely not getting the black one. They've sent new collateral that removes the black one.
