Root Need help reviving motorola triumph!

Please I need help fixing my motorola triumph, hopefully there is a solution and it is not bricked. I was installing an ICS Port 4.0 MUIU rom after installing CWM when this happened. I had successfully installed CWM, Speed demon kernel, and MIUI using a youtube tutorial. I then decided to install a new version of miui. I entered download mode and connected the USB to the computer and opened the image folder. When I tried to install the file the computer told me I didn't have enough memory so I deleted all of the files from the image folder thinking they were unimportant and later on realizing the contrary. I tried finding the deleted files on the computer and relocating them to the phone but only found 2 or 3 of them. I have the 2.2.2 android version with the 7 bar codes total. I do not have access to a computer at the moment but tomorrow I will. Is there any way I can copy the files from another triumph with the same version and get my phone working again? I would like to have stock rom back. And if not, can some one please post the directions with links to the files needed? I need to fix my phone because I don't have the extra money to have it fixed for me. I would like to apologize for the novel and thank anyone that is willing to help me and for taking time from your busy schedule to do so. I also forgot to mention that my screen will not turn on AT ALL. I cannot access CWM, download mode or anything :(

Hey Lolo. Do not use that download from that link. It seems you have older version of the Triumph with seven barcode. It seems, Austrie has deleted the older version of recovery partition. If you put those files, you will only get blank screen on startup. It will however boot up your phone but you will not be able to see boot logo and polling text.

If that happens, please hang on. Let me look for the older version of recovery partition files. I will get back to you as soon as I find them. If everything went well, then let me know.

"USB device not recognized... the USb connected has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it" The phone shows up as USB Root Hub (4 ports) and under that there are 3 "unused ports" and only one "Unknown Device" When i click the unknown device it says the hardware is not connected to the device (code 45). The phone cannot go into download mode with polling text. i am using windows if that info is of any help. There are 7 bar codes total (one all the way on top of the battery area that reads FD1M1... and then under MOTOROLA there are 6)

im running an old windows xp program, dont think rebooting will do much but its worth a try and switching computers (another old windows xp on this one too) didnt do anything. I think its not recognizing because i am not able to enter download mode and i dont get polling text. I also tried leaving the battery out for a few minutes but nothing happened when i plugged it back in

The phone will not boot into anything since I deleted everything on the image folder, it will not go into download mode (no polling text), there are no signs of the phone working. The computer will not recognize the phone because it says it has malfunctioned. It shows up as unknown drive not as MOBILE and does not allow me to open it as unknown drive. The LED light does not turn on when plugging it in to a computer or charger and the screen will not turn on at all. I am going to try to get the phone to be recognized as MOBILE and will try to work from there. If any one has more suggestions please post them, any suggestion is appreciated

You might have corrupted the MOBILE drive and it becomes not useable. Try formatting that drive as FAT file system. If that doesn't work, your drive is dead. If you have access to Linux, connect the phone to it with download mode. Even if the screen is not on, just press Power + Vol. Down. See if a lot of drives showed up. If you don't have Linux PC, then I'm sorry buddy. I can't help you anymore as I can't see what is actually happening. My final guess is your MOBILE partition has been corrupted and it's unuseable now.

i will try to format the drive as a FAT file but if that doesnt work then i will have to buy a new phone. Although it is a bit weird the phone is not showing up as MOBILE because it has before even after the files in image were deleted. I appreciate all the help you have given me and thank you for taking the time to do so. Is there anyway that i can ask for a replacement from VM without insurance and with an expired warranty?

I'm on my phone so I can't really link ya to them, but there's atleast one thread called help I deleted he image folder or something, and if I recall the same issues ur having were what the op had happening

Also I've seen, read and even helped a few people before that had the same issues and thought they bricked the phone then for what seemed to be no reason it began to work again

So I'd say keep at it, this phone is normally labeled as unbrickable, I like to say its just hard to brick it lol

There's a great community here so u know ull have help or atleast people trying to help so its worth it to keep trying

Also if u happened to buy the phone recently and all else failed you could call Vm and tell them that it wont work, I'd leave out the rooting and custom rom cause they don't like that, but you may be able to get a replacement

Yes. This phone is practically unbrickable. Only way to brick this phone is to corrupt the partition and corrupt the internal drive sectors. Which seems to be the case for you. That's why, you need Linux PC to test this. Windows PC can't do this.

The thread about someone wiping the MOBILE drive, Image folder is in second post. Or rather, the second post link where there's download is made because of that thread. So, if you want more help, find a way to access to Linux PC and let me know. You might just have to format the partition and it'll be all better again.

Ive also read a post by someone who tried for days to fix there phone after they thought they bricked it, they ended up putting in a drawer and just buying a new one, then one day they decided to try the bricked one again before they threw it away and it worked perfectly like it should have lol sometime our phones have attitudes lol

Also once I get off work and back to my PC ill post it here just in case and for info purposes but I have a picture of what the image folder should look like with cwm installed and cm7, file names and sizes are visable, if u find the threads I was talking about you'll probly see it

Hey Lolo. So, I just woke up and couldn't sit still seeing as your problem is not being able to resolved. So, I formatted my own MOBILE drive to reproduce your problem. But, I cannot seem to make my Windows 7 not detect my phone. It would always show up as a drive I formatted. I don't know how you formatted it to make it undetectable. There might be a slightest chance of reviving your drive. Here's the steps I did. I posted it in other thread just a few seconds ago. So, I'm just gonna copy paste it here.

Hi. I think I have found a way to fix this in Windows 7. Please follow this step word by word. Please do not do anything else that you think is right. This is a very sensitive situation. If you do even just one thing wrong, your phone will be in bigger problem. Please be extra careful as we will be dealing with partitions directly.

1. In Windows 7, go to Star Menu, type in "Create and format hard disk partition" and press enter. You will see "Disk Management" program open up. Maximize it.

1.5. Take the battery out of your phone and check if you have 6 bar codes or 7 bar codes.

- If you have 6 bar codes, download this.

- If you have 7 bar codes, download this.

2. Turn your phone on by press and holding POWER + Vol Down for several second. You won't see anything on the screen but that's ok.

3. Connect the phone to Windows 7 PC with USB cable and check to see if the phone is connected. (Usually Windows 7 make a sound when something is connected)

4. Now, check the Disk Management program that was opened in step 1. You will see "Disk x, Removable 1.82 GB Online" (x is the number of the disk and it is different for everyone. In my case, it's Disk 2. Here's the screenshot.) Ignore the name MOBILE since mine isn't corrupted. You might or might not see it as Mobile.

From here on, it will be hard for me to write since I can't see what's going on in your end. I'm gonna assume everything is going as it should.

5. There will be 16 partitions in Disk x. What you want to work with is the very first partition. It is 100 MB. It is the ONLY partition with 100 MB. Select the partition. Do not touch other partitions.

6. Now, right click on the partition and choose format. Format box will open. Type in MOBILE in Volume label. Choose "FAT" as File System. Allocation unit size "Default". Check the "Perform a quick format". Click OK. Warning will pop up saying if you wanna continue. Click OK. It'll format without showing anything.

7. After format, check the LIST above. See if MOBILE partition is there and see if it is "FAT" File System and also see if it is 100% Free Space. If all is as described, you are done successfully.

8. Now, right click on MOBILE drive and choose "Open". A blank window will pop up. Extract the zip you downloaded in step 1.5. Copy its image folder directly to the blank window.

That's it. You are done. Reboot the phone by taking out the battery. Hope this help.

Again. Please be very careful as you are dealing with system partitions that includes crucial data of the phone such as ESN and MEID. You can parmenetly make the phone useless. Do not for any reason touch any other partition in Disk x.

Thank you and good luck.
