Root 503 80376 this device is not snc caable after root

ok I followed all the HTC.dev steps. I unlocked my bootload, let it factor reset and when i went to put my user and pass for play store. It said 503 80376 this device is not snc caable after root. What the hell did I do wrong?

After that happend I figured why not just lock the bootloader again. So I did and everything worked again. BUTTT I could not use the rooted apps in the play store because it said that i needed to root the phone?

So my question is what am i doing wrong and how can I fix it.

Im running stock ics 4.0.3

i have not heard of that particular error,ill have to see if can find anything out about that.

as for the other questions,did you launch or install recovery and flash superuser files? if not,that is why your root apps were not working.

not sure what you mean by cut off and reset itself. could be a prolem with a particular app,or something you have installed or modified.

some more details as to what you were doing may help.

No I didn't launch recovery. Nor did I flash a superuser file. I am new at this and I don't know what a superuser file is, but I will try it again and launch recovery and see what that does.

sounds like youve only done step 1(referencing this guide: http://androidforums.com/rezound-al...ys-noob-friendly-root-guide-start-finish.html)

you need to complete steps 2 and 3 to be rooted... just unlocking the bootloader is not enuff.
